- IllinoisFamily101Elk Grove Village, IL16 contributionsBlack Point Estate is a wonderful gem on Lake Geneva WI. It's really two tours in one. In order to get to the estate, you have to take a 40 minute boat trip from Ravinia Pier. This is the first tour, which is history of the lake and the houses you pass. Once you arrive, there are 100 stairs to climb. The estate has beautiful gardens and a wrap around porch to rest after the walk up the stairs. The tour is guided and the docent are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. On the return boat trip, the lake tour continues with information about the houses on the other side of the lake. The boat offers refreshments and snacks, along with a rest room.Written August 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christine C54 contributionsClean restrooms up the stairs and across the lawn. Sandy bottom near the shore. Has 2 piers to swim out and jump off. - R PMadison, WI4 contributionsThank you to all of the staff that made our stay so enjoyable. We loved the one bedroom suite and the free arcade credits. Waterpark was great. Only wish the outside pool had been open during our stay. We will be back.Written June 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eisme77Janesville, WI1,636 contributionsThis was brewery #147 for us, and it was the first one in an old church! The building is beautiful with lovely stained glass windows that add to the charm. The brewery appears to be located in the old sanctuary, and while plenty of room, still small enough to feel like it isn't a beer hall. The beer list is wide and varied (and have super fun names) which ensures that their is something for everyone in your group. Definitely a flight kind of place with all the choices!Written April 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TYPSUKRArlington, VA758 contributionsCame here on a Wednesday afternoon in August. After paying the admission fee at the self-service pay station, we first ate lunch at one of the picnic areas in the park. They had some tables in the shade, which made it enjoyable. While there were some flush toilets throughout the park, the facilities in this picnic area were simple latrines (i.e. gravity toilets). After eating lunch, we then went on a nature walk, first through a prairie/meadow, and then finishing up through some forested areas and ponds, closer to the lake shore. You can access the lakeshore from the park, but you have to cross the main road to get there (we didn't do that).Written September 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gail kLarchmont, NY168 contributionsA spectacular mid century modern building. Superb detailing and attention to details - stained glass, wooden treatments, ceilings, lighting. Only regret was no printed info sheet to illuminate the visit more fully. Its windows overlook Lake Geneva — if I were a local I’d be here often !Written October 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
