Tributes poured in for Gary Tong Yik-chung, the keyboard player for rock band Tai Chi, after his sudden death.

Tong, 57, died of a suspect heart attack at his home on Tuesday.

The famous musician collaborated with many musical heavyweights, including the late stars Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing and Anita Mui Yim-fong, as well as popular singers Alan Tam Wing-lun, Jacky Cheung Hok-yau and Eason Chan Yick-shun.

Singers and actors paid their tributes and mourned Tong's death on social media.

"[Tong] was an easy-going, talented, and low-key musician who would provide us with the best musical opinions. He would never let singers or musicians have a hard time or feel pressured," said popular singer and actress Joey Yung Cho-yee.

Singer Hins Cheung King-hin said he began listening to Tong's songs when he was a student, and that Tong was devoted to music.
