We Catholics who believe in the claimed private revelations at Medjugorje and Garabandal have been anticipating, for many decades, the start of the events predicted at those places in the messages of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Those the private revelations in both places are not condemned by the Church, they are also not fully approved either. The messages at Medjugorje are ongoing, and those at Garabandal ceased many years ago. At Garabandal, three secrets about the future were partially revealed. At Medjugorje, ten secrets about the future were partially revealed.

Garabandal

At Garabandal, three secrets were given to the visionaries:
1. The Warning
2. The Miracle
3. The Chastisement

The Warning is an illumination of consciences, given to everyone on earth. Many persons will repent; many will refuse to repent. This event will be absolutely stunning. It begins with a loud sound and a bright light seen everywhere at once on earth. Everything will stop, and each person will find themselves alone with their conscience. It will last only minutes, then everything will resume. Very many persons will repent with great sorrow, and this will have a lasting effect on humanity. However, many will refuse to repent, and will therefore become more sinful. Some persons will die from the shock of seeing their sins.

Many false claims have been circulated about the Warning. It is NOT an event whereby one sees one’s conscience as God sees it. Rather, the knowledge obtained in the Warning is only what the person already understood as right and wrong. So if you have sinned objectively, without realizing it, then that sin will not be on your conscience and will not be shown. If you have misunderstood a moral act as a sin, then that actual sin will be on your conscience and will be seen. The conscience is illuminated, in its own right, and not as God objectively and infallibly knows right from wrong. The Warning is therefore NOT a “mini-judgment”. It is not like the particular judgment, which is a review of one’s whole life. Instead, the Warning only shows the person the sins on their conscience at that time.

The date of the Warning is Good Friday in some year. In my writings of eschatology, I have many times stated the wrong year for that event. Even so, it seems that 2022 is a likely year for the Warning and Miracle, based on the current state of the Church and the world, and because there is little time left for other predicted events to occur.

Friday, April 15, 2022 is Good Friday this year. It may be the day of the Warning.

The time of the Warning, in my speculative eschatology, is the same time that Christ died on the Cross, about 2:51 pm Jerusalem Standard Time, which is 8:51 am East Coast Time in the United States. The Warning occurs everywhere at once, so for some persons it will be morning, or others afternoon or evening, for others night time.

The Consolation was not predicted at Garabandal. It is an event that I have deduced from my understanding of the secrets of Medjugorje. I believe that the first secret of Medjugorje is the same as the Warning of Garabandal. The second secret is, I think, an event on Easter Sunday, two days after the Warning, when all the persons who repented at the Warning — and only those who repented — will be consoled in their sorrow and shown the good deeds on their conscience.

The Miracle was predicted at Garabandal. It is, in my understanding, three fold:

a. Permanent Miraculous Signs will be left at all the places of Marian apparitions in the world. The Signs will be something that has never before been on earth. I speculate that it might be a tree from the Garden of Eden, such as the tree of life. Otherwise, it could be something like a star or other celestial body, that has never been on earth, of course.

b. Miraculous healings all over the world. Not everyone will be healed. The holy and those who are repentant will mainly be those who are healed. This event, if it occurs in 2022, could bring an end to the Covid-19 pandemic.

c. Conversion of unbelievers, as a result of the above two events, the Permanent Miraculous Signs and the Miraculous healings.

I believe that the Miracle will occur on the evening of May 12th, the vigil of the feast of Blessed Imelda Lambertini, a young martyr of the Eucharist. The timing is said to be about 8:30 in the evening Garabandal time. I also believe that the Miracle of Garabandal is the same as the third secret of Medjugorje.

The Chastisement is the third event predicted at Garabandal. I understanding this event to be either the whole set of sufferings in the first part of the tribulation, to begin within months after the Miracle, or the Three Days of Darkness which occurs at the end of the first part of the tribulation, in 2040 AD.

Medjugorje

The first three secrets of Medjugorje are the Warning, Consolation, and Miracle. Then the next 7 of the 10 secrets are the first Six Seals in the book of Revelation, and the first Six Trumpets of the Seventh Seal. This set of terrible events ends with the Three Days of Darkness.

The End Times is divided into two parts:
* The first part of the tribulation, beginning months or weeks after the Miracle of Garabandal and ending years later with the Three Days of Darkness in 2040 AD.

* The inter-tribulation period, between the two parts of the tribulation. The tribulation is another term for the End Times or the Last Days or the End of Days or the Apocalypse. The inter-tribulation period lasts several hundred years. It begins with about 25 years of peace and holiness on earth. Then the world gradually returns to its sinful ways, with ever increasing sinfulness and sufferings as time passes.

* The second part of the tribulation occurs in the early 25th century AD (the 2400s). This period includes the nearly seven year reign of the Antichrist from 2430/2431 to 2437. At the end of the Antichrist’s reign, Jesus the true Christ returns to earth. Then there is a series of afflictions on the unrepentant wicked.

The End is not so soon

This generation will see many terrible afflictions, but it is not the end of the world. The afflictions of this generation are only the beginning of the End Times, which will not be completed for hundreds more years.
