While the building is beautiful our food was cold and did not taste up to standard. The food tasted like it had been microwaved or sat out for some time. The oysters looked old and the meal was not edible as my shrimp was cold in the middle.

Celebrating a birthday at the Sunday brunch. We arrived early - checked in and was seated on time for our reservation . We have been here before for the brunch so we were aware of all the stations. Our server was friendly, informative and efficent. Food is good but not outstanding. One thing I did ask the waiter was wondering if any sugar free desserts were offered. He said there were not. Grand Concourse should consider making some sugar-free items on the brunch menu.

Come with an appetite!! The omelet station moved quickly were delicious! The waffles and doughnuts were a fan favorite. The prime rib was the next fan favorite. Nothing beats brunch at the Grand Concourse!!

I had dinner with an out-of-town guest and he was pleased with the food selection, the food and the service. We were able to look out the window at the river.

The restaurant was jammed due to college graduation so it was unusually loud. The food was delicious as always; however there was a round black furry ball attached to my sister’s roll. I showed the server and she said she would show the manager and have the manager come to see us. That Never Happened!!! Actually, the server must have been having a bad day, she had the personality of a cardboard box. I come to the Grand Concourse approximately 5-7 times a year, this was not one of the better experiences.

We had a great experience at the stunning restaurant. Hostess seated us at a cozy Crescent booth overlooking the river. We both enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. Our server, Moses, was very attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service. Thank you for the special dessert, too!

So glad I found this place to make a reservation at. The concourse is gorgeous! And we were so lucky to be placed with a view of the river and bridge. The food was incredible. The hosting staff should ask if folks have been there before instead of assuming guests know how their brunch works.

great atmosphere. We drove from Altoona just to eat here. Our server was very nice and helpful. Appreciated the parking validation also The food was excellent, with lots of variety great experience

This was my first time at Grand Concourse but will not be my last. The food was great and service outstanding. The French Dip sandwich and Crab Cake Sandwich was delicious and my husband loved the New England Clam Chowder.

These are the most experienced wait staff that I’ve seen in the states in ages. There should be Michelin stars for service. I thought that I was back in Paris, until the loud Americans arrived. Why are Americans so loud when they dine? My husband’s Tomahawk Pork Chop was outstanding. Unfortunately, my chicken was quite dry. The cocktails and after dinner drinks were also exquisite. We would happily return.

This was our first time at the Sunday brunch and we would repeat! The array of foods, both breakfast and other, was tremendous. The food was replenished quickly and was hot and tasty. My only problem was that there were so many choices laid out all over the restaurant, including the Gandy Dancer. Having a list with indications of where to find things would have been helpful. My husband is a breakfast lover and I prefer "real food" so this was a perfect choice for us. He loved his omelet, bacon, and donuts while I loved my prime rib, salmon, veggies, and salad. The amount of food for the price - $42 - is the best brunch deal in town. We even had "dirty marys" for only $10 each. I highly recommend this brunch. If you go, take a tour of the restaurant layout before you get in a line to make wise choices.

Truly a lovely place to celebrate or just go for brunch. Mussels, shrimp, omelets, perfectly cooked prime rib, perfect ratio mimosas, and scrumptious hot donuts! Only reason i didn’t give 5 stars was service….we waited and waited for everything…from initial seating to drink orders to getting the drinks ( we were already eating!!) and FINALLY..waited for the bill. He was great at disappearing.

Checkin was very slow. We had a 6:00 pm reservation and they did not seat us until 6:25. The food and service was amazing. Highly recommend

Waitress unfriendly bc we asked to be moved by 2 tables not to be by the kitchen. The restaurant was 95 percent empty . Food played bad w a yellow asparagus on top , the mahi mahi was not cooked inside . The bread was not fresh . Waitress did not recommend any dishes seems annoyed and bored by us. She had long beaded hair and was very tall so when she put the mussels on the table we were afraid that her braids will go right in the food . The mussels were served with no toast w garlic to dip in the juice ….The place is beautiful and the view from the window is a million dollar view but the service was truly bad and the food under par … the place needs new management. The valet parking should be free with paid meal !

Beautiful restaurant! I was impressed as soon as I walked in. We ordered mussels to start and those were underwhelming, we didn’t finish them. My husbands clam chowder was delicious though. For our entrees the lamb chops were very good but the sample trio I got was just ok. The coconut shrimp was the best part of it. The crab cake tasted pretty fishy so I was scared to eat it. We wanted to order dessert but our server took so long to take our plates after the appetizer and entrees that we had already been there almost 2 hours and just wanted to leave. He was a nice guy but maybe he is new, he wasn’t really on top of things. Overall maybe I would come here again but it wouldn’t be my first pick…

We went for lunch so they sat us along the river instead of in the main dining room. As we were waiting for our food, a contractor started working outside our window with a drill. The noise was annoying and there was a strange smell. They moved us to the main dining room when we asked but we thought it was ridiculous that they had someone working in the area where many guests were seated during lunch.

We always enjoy out visit. Our server outstanding, she was attentive, without the annoying hovering. We love the ambiance. Many choices of food. This was I believe the fourth time there for the Sunday brunch.

Grand Concourse Sunday brunch is one of our favorite traditions. The building is beautiful. The atmosphere is amazing. The view of the river is a wonderful background to dine. The food is fantastic. The boys cannot get enough of the carving station. We really enjoy coming here 3-4 times annually for birthdays.

My wife & I live in Richmond,VA we go to the Grand Concourse often when we're in Pittsburgh for the Steelers game. This time we just decided to on a road trip just to go to the Grand Concourse needless to say this the worst experience we ever had here our alcohol beverages were so watered down (Patron shots & Crown Royal Apple shots) & the food was not pleasant at all. Grand Concourse must be under recently new management. The service was great as always. Overall we are very disappointed.

went yesterday for my 32nd birthday. I had 10 people with us. I have a list of issues. -We waited 20 minutes at the bar to serviced and after being service she never came back to check on us to see if we wanted to have another drink. -Once seated our waiter Moses walked past and stated that he was our waiter and would be right back. Right back was 20 minutes -he came back and took our drink order. However, he did not remember what drink went to who. -he also forgot to additional drinks, which was a Coke and a glass of wine. -After correcting the drink mistake, he came back another 20 hours later to take our food order. -this is the part that we could not believe what just happened. MYSELF AND 2 OF MY FRIENDS SEEN A MOUSE RUN ARCOSS THE RESTAURANT. -We told Moses that we would like to speak with a manager. He came back out a half an hour later with our dinner however, he did not bring a manager. We asked for steak sauce, and when he came back with the steak sauce, I asked him for the manager. Once again he came back 15 minutes later with the manager and the chef this is the part that we didn’t understand. Being that we are all from Pittsburgh. We are all used to being downtown with the pigeons. We understand what it’s like to eat in the city however, we have never experienced seeing a mouse in a restaurant to tolepo honey is across the street never seen a mouse the melting pot never seen a mouse. There is no reason and no excuse for 10 customers to come to fine dining and experience a mouse once speaking with the manager, he did not take any accountability. He blamed it on the fact that the restaurant is so close to the water, he continue to ask is the issue here the service or the food the service was an issue being that Moses was struggling with taking orders and bringing food and drinks however, seeing a mouse is something that I would never want to experience at a fine dining restaurant our experience there was absolutely terrible we never got an apology and the

My husband and I went for the Easter buffet. We had herd very good things from friends in the past. Made to order Pasta station was fantastic. As was the dessert/ donut station. Our drinks & service were also great. Sadly the food quality on the buffet was just ok. Nothing really stood out for us. We did have the 7pm reservation, but it was insanely busy still. I understand after such a long day and serving so many people... I just would have liked better attention paid to the quality of the food put out. Especially for what we paid to be there. It was something to cross off our Pittsburgh bucket list. I just don't see us going back to this Particular event.

The food was good, I prefer stations rather than one big long line. It seemed that it was hard for the servers to get in and out because of the line …you were always in the way. I feel they could do better with the desserts. The donut station and ice cream was fun for the kids. But for adults, I think they could’ve done better with their selection of desserts. If you go go earlier than 6 o’clock. But overall it was fine.

Easter buffet at the Grand Concourse was EXCELLENT! The food was AMAZING along with the staff !! You never had to wait for any of the food items to be replenished when they were empty, the staff was immediately right there with a new tray of food!! Will definitely be back !!

The layout was not so easy to maneuver. It was hard to tell what some of the sides were without labels. We attended Easter buffets every year since I was a child, for over 50 years. The carving station was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was lovely. Would have liked a larger dessert variety.

Had our Easter dinner at the Grand Concourse. Buffet was great. Employees were wonderful. Only thing to mention is that they were running 45 minutes behind, even though we had a reservation, so that was disappointing.
