For our first Michigan Christmas we wanted to go somewhere nice and was special to Ann Arbor. Gandy Dancer did not disappoint. The building is gorgeous. It’s an old train station so you can see the arched windows and old ticket booths. The entire back...More

We really like the Gandy Dancer for Sunday Brunch (reservations required well in advance). They have a really nice cold seafood table with lots of shrimp, lox, etc. Nice selection of hot dishes with all the 'standard' brunch fare as well as an egg station....More

We have wanted to try this restaurant years ago when our daughter attended the University of Michigan but each time when we called during a special occasion, we were too late for ]making a reservation. The charm of this place is its location in an...More

We were expecting a great dinner. We had been to Gandy Dancer some years ago, and had a memorable experience. We have food allergies, but in questioning what was in the food, we were very disappointed. They don't use olive oil in their dressing, could...More

Food was not what you would expect for the price - tasted like a middle of the road restaurant food, nothing special. Ravioli and crab cakes came out cold. Only 1 vegetarian options. Ridiculously small portions for the price. Overall not impressed.

Have a larger party to celebrate something in Ann Arbor area. This restaurant should be a strong consideration. Fish meals are superb. Meat dishes adequate. Great bread. Valet parking. Current road construction makes getting there a bit of a challenge

This is my absolute favorite place in Ann Arbor! They are SO TOGETHER! We’ve celebrated there, romanced there (they have a very romantic, private area) and stuffed ourselves silly with impeccable food choices that are ALWAYS fantastic!

I had not been to this restaurant for a long time, and decided to try it again. I was not disappointed! I had a seafood chowder and salmon. Both were delicious. This is a great place for a special occasion.

They have done a great job of reusing the former railroad station. The trackside addition, with lots of windows, is especially lovely. Other interior tables might be a bit dark. The dynamite scallops were perhaps over-enthusiastically doused with butter, but were very tasty. All the...More

You can order off the menu, I don't believe they have changed their format.
