Kate Muir Times (UK) The great photographer Richard Avedon curated the titles and exquisitely coloured stills of Hepburn in the latest collection from Givenchy, and each one is poster-perfect. The plot, such as it is, is full of lighthearted fun. Jan 2, 2018 Full Review Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) What is startling here is the eye-popping colour, the self-reflexive photography and visual effects, the dance sequences (Fred Astaire with his umbrella), and the witty and ingenious use of the Paris locations. Rated: 5/5 Feb 28, 2014 Full Review Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard If you're prepared to do a bit of revisionist thinking, it all makes sense. Rated: 4/5 Feb 28, 2014 Full Review Frank J. Avella Edge Media Network Set in Paris, the dazzling movie satirizes the fashion industry, as well as beatnik culture. The great Kay Thompson steals some scenes, but it's Audrey by whom you're mesmerized. Rated: A- Jan 21, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy This offers much more than just the usual thrill of watching Astaire hoofing it. Jan Beautiful clothes and fun dance production. Really enjoyed the movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/22 Full Review Paul C I couldn't get over the age gap of the leads Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Alec B The notion that Audrey Hepburn would ever be considered "plain" or "unattractive" is ridiculous, but I don't think it's a movie that ever tries to pass itself off as remotely realistic. It's just a fun romantic comedy and the dance sequences are outstanding. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Isabel S I do think you should watch this movie about a predatory 58-year-old model photographer sexually harassing a 28-year-old librarian into becoming a global supermodel through the influence of his access to fame and fortune. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Jonathans M Definitely one of Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire's finest performance, and it's so lovely and heartwarming. Even when it comes to music, it comes out as very lovely. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/20/23 Full Review Robert W Liked the photography, styling, sets.
