Application / Enrollment in programs with unrestricted admission
You can find all application and enrolment deadlines as well as further information on the respective degree programs on our webpages on the offered study programs. If you are also interested in and applying for a degree program with restricted admission, please wait for the decision of the admission procedure before enrolling in a degree program with open admission.
Note: For combined degree programs with at least one admission-restricted component, the application deadlines apply.

For Bachelor's degree programs in which there are no admission restrictions in the first or higher semester, prospective students with a German university entrance qualification (regardless of their nationality) who meet all other requirements (e.g. language skills) must first apply in the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin by the deadline.
In the next step, please enroll by mail, indicating your applicant number. The application for enrollment and information on the documents to be submitted can be found on the website "Documents to be submitted".
Prospective students with a foreign higher education entrance qualification must apply via uni-assist by the deadline.
After a successful application, you will receive a letter of admission by post or e-mail. You apply for enrollment with this notification of admission. The application for enrollment and information on the documents to be submitted can be found on the website "Documents to be submitted".
Vocationally qualified persons with a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification can find further information here, as deviating deadlines may apply.
These degree programs are not subject to any admission restrictions, but the subject-specific admission requirements must be met for admission.
For enrollment in Master's degree programs with no admission restriction, prior online application within the respective application deadline to check the admission requirements is mandatory. After successful application, the admission letter is available in the application portal. You can use this to apply for enrollment.
