I like AEW but it's been 3 years and I don't believe they have had a women or a black person main event a PPV. The only POC to main event a PPV is Eddie Kingston and it was once. If I am wrong please correct me. After the Big Swole stuff I really want AEW to do a lot better. They have the talent and there really shouldn't be any excuses anymore.

I feel like Punk did do/say some slightly heelish things in the past few months that it made me think if that was their plan with him, but then they backed off of it a bit when the Owen Cup stuff started. But maybe that was just part of the overall story. I think if that's the route they go, it could work out pretty well. Just invert the program with a heel champ in Punk and then Hangman as the chasing face. One way to prolong it a bit but giving them some real meat to work with in terms of a feud.

If one of the end goals is to make Eddie a champ, that's one route to go down in time as well.

I also feel like we'll get some real Njpw surprises as they'll want to really build towards forbidden door right away.

Anyway , card is too long for my taste , but Im hyped for MJF v Wardlow, and if the main event delivers.

Watching this probably till 6 am will be a struggle and ruin me for the first half of the week. I‘m sure everything will be good or great but so is Dynamite and a lot of the matches have builds that would qualify them for a regular TV episode, not an AEW PPV.

Re the FTW title - there's only one person he's dropping that to - HOOK, once he's ready. Then Starks can move onto the TNT title

No, he's firmly on the side of Page and Lambert. His face turn was all part of his grand plan where he gets choked out and barely holds onto his title. Kazarian is the only actual face, and Paige VanZant has only ever feuded with heels and hasn't said or done enough to really be sure either way.

I just meant following that segment on rampage, to me the sammy team were the total heels there lol. I like kaz but it's death putting him with sammy and tay right now.

Sammy and Tay were, Kaz was just complaining about how annoying they are the whole time.

But everybody involved with ATT somehow ends up being a heel. Jericho devolved into outdated 90s bullshit in his promos and the crowd turned on him shortly after, Brandi Rhodes gave the most heel promo of her life, and Sammy was so awful that the fans forced him and Tay heel like ten days after one of the best matches of Sammy's career in that Cody ladder match.
