The Fry's I shop at had just received their truckload of blackberries. The only problem is the shipment had not been unloaded from the pallets. The staff thought it would be at least an hour before the berries were available. I could not wait that long so picked up my needs and left.
I made a second visit to different Fry's store after having dinner out.
They had a ton of blackberries much to my relief. I picked up several, paid and left.

I found my waters except they were on the top shelf all the way in the back. I went to the front of the store looking for help. I found a staff member who happily walked back to the section to assist. He even had to climb to reach the items. I bought the remainder of the bottles.

We stopped on our way home at another Fry's to do the deed. we like both the sparkling and regular water. I am somewhat familiar with this store and was able to locate my items quickly.

Hardly anyone in line so I used a checker to pay for my goods.

Mar 9, 2021Previous reviewThis store seems to have more supplies than my usual or either the shoppers do not purchase the same thing I do at this particular store. What I can't find at my usual store, I can typically find here. It always seems busy at this store.
It has the usual groceries, deli, sushi bar, fresh soup and a whole freezer of flash frozen precooked meals. I tried the Indian tikka masala. It was pretty good. It is sold by the pound. The least amount you can purchase is a pound. With the pandemic, it is now prepackaged. It use to be sold in bulk. I've heard there is a pesto shrimp but haven't seen it at this particular store.
There are about 8 different choices of frozen meals.

Once a month, Fry's has a special shopping day for seniors 55 years old and better. It is a good deal to stock up that day and get groceries. No crowds or lines because we went super early. Took about 35 minutes for a few weeks of supplies l.
Jan 6, 2021Previous reviewSenior day at Fry's. Shop today if you're 55 or better and reap the benefits. Pleasant masked staff. Always find what I want. Good for a few weeks now.
Jan 2, 2021Previous reviewI go in for one thing and see some good sales. Why not, who doesn't love a good bargain. I prefer to do the self check out if I have a small amount. I don't wait very long and am fairly proficient at it. Got all I wanted and then some.
Dec 23, 2020Previous reviewI have been shopping at this Fry's for years. It is fine and close to home. I do like some of the other locations better. This one does have a sushi bar now so it went up in my mind. It is difficult to locate anyone to help you find something unless you go to the front of the store. They have always been willing to help me with things I can't reach. I know most of the employees by sight or name which makes things easier. They have most of the things I need. They have a senior day once a month where people who qualify get a discount. Also a nice perk. I will continue shopping there unless I am elsewhere and need to pick up a quick something.

This is my neighborhood go to Fry's. I've discovered how easy and convenient the shop online and pick up your order process is. Each time I've used this process it has been smooth and easy. Get exactly what I order and it's quick, easy and accurate.

Seriously, the entire deli is closed at 4:30p on a Wednesday? And no pre-packages cheeses available either. A guy's gotta have his cheese. Hmmm??

Not customer service oriented! Booked pick up 3 days early. Needed to pick up a half an hour earlier. After many conversations couldn't do and wasn't willing to help. However I can pick up after...

I usually go to the Hayden Road or N 90th St Fry's locations, because they are official Murray's cheese spots.
Someone was telling me that all locations now carry Murray's cheese to varying degrees, so I figured I'd try a quieter store to miss some of the holiday crowds.
The store was still pretty busy, but not as bad as the other two, just busier than I expected. I was able to find everything I wanted and needed and then some. They also had a lot of marked down Murray's cheese - which I couldn't resist with the holidays around the corner. Appetizers? Charcuterie boards anyone?
I also had a bunch of coupons that I figured I better use them or lose them, with COVID I've just been doing short grocery runs or delivery.
Everything was fine until I got to the cashier "Neeve". The cashier clearly was a little annoyed I had coupons. As someone who has worked as a cashier before, I really don't get it. Even with a couple free yogurt coupons, she was taking the cheapest yogurts I paid for off instead of the highest. You'd think any coupons I used came directly out of her paycheck.
My cashier got to the end of the transaction and two coupons wouldn't scan in, so she said I couldn't use them. I said, well can we at least take those items off my bill? I don't really want them then. The whole reason I got the items was to use the coupons obviously.. apparently she couldn't do that either. The manager on duty wasn't much more helpful, and what's even more frustrating is I had to ask her to call the manager. I mean wouldn't you call the manager to see if there was a better solution?
The "so called manager" seemed very helpless.. I say so called because she really didn't have any solutions. As I was pushing my cart away the cashier muttered that she doesn't see what the big deal was, the coupons weren't that much money. $10 really? Does anyone say, yes please over charge me $10 when they go in a store? Is this even her place to decide what is or isn't a lot to a customer?
So I ended up then having to go to customer service and explain the whole thing (which is in a really weird spot of the store) and getting them to take the two items off and then apply the coupons. Does this make any sense? Why did the manager not take me over there and do it herself?
The lady "Irma" at the customer service desk was actually the most decent staff member I interacted with all night. She didn't understand why my cashier didn't do it herself since she has been trained on the customer service desk. That makes two of us..
Not only is it a huge run around, it's pretty awful service if you ask me. The store is great as long as you don't have any coupons or need anyone to solve any "big" problems.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jim W.Cave Creek, AZ016Jul 3, 2022Updated review
Store has gotten somewhat better with the employees being friendlier accept for the ones shopping for online customers, I assume that's what they do. I've run across a few who will squeeze their big carts right in front of the shelf you're looking at and sometimes even park it blocking you. Guess online customers come first. All the self checkout lanes seem to have lessened the cashier lanes. I've been there on Saturday with huge lines and 2 cashiers max. Self checkout is fine if you have a few things but with a cart full it's a hassle.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 6, 2017Previous reviewI used to like this store but lately the employee are less than helpful. They are moving the items & aisles around. Hate when stores do this, why make it harder to find things? Anyway, I couldn't find an item so I asked an employee and the answer was to go to the aisle I thought it was in and then there should be a sign with the new location. If there had been a sign do you think I would have bothered asking? Decided to skip that item and get it at Safeway later.
Next I went to the meat and seafood counter. The employee was just standing around doing nothing. I asked if they had salmon, there was none out. He said, yes they had some he just hasn't put it out yet. This is about 10:30am on Saturday. Do you think he offered to get me some or at least tell me when he was going to do his job and put some out? Nope. He just stood there staring at me after he said that. So needless to say my shopping list grew for Safeway.
Like I said, this use to be a favorite store to go to. I got to know a few of the employees and they were very nice. Unfortunately I didn't run into any of them this time around. Hope this isn't a new direction the store is going in because rude and non helpful employees will drive me to Safeway more often. - Gena L.San Francisco, CA03Apr 21, 2023
The floral department at Tatum and Cave Creek is the best! Beautifully crafted flower arrangements for a decent price. Every time we order, they deliver more than we expected! Thank you!!

Updated based on the pharmacy. We got a coupon in the mail that said if you transfer a prescription that is being filled from another store, you get a $50 coupon. Let's start off by saying that the coupon itself was very vague and barely had any fine print on it.
I called my veterinarian and had her send the script to Frys instead of Costco this month. I never heard from them that it was ready for pick up, so I had to call them myself. I asked if they could honor the coupon and the guy said no. He said since the vet called it in, and I didn't make Costco physically transfer it over, it is void. I have receipt proof that my dog gets this medication from Costco every month, and they would have made up their cost for the 50 coupon in 1 month.
I immediately called CVS and decided to pay 4 dollars extra per month to avoid the poor customer service that was bound to happen at this Frys. Keep in mind that even though the pharmacy has physically filled your script, you are NOT required to pick it up and pay for it if you are unhappy.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Oct 15, 2017Previous reviewI love this location! We've been shopping here for 3 years and have had zero issues! The new remodel is frustrating to some who have been frequenting this location for years, but has made the store so much nicer overall. My favorite employee is John, who is so welcoming and helpful every time we shop here. Keep it up, Fry's!

Negative .5 stars
Went into Frys with 12 minutes to spare until closing because I thought that I would be in and out.
I was greeted properly at the door by the lady cleaning the grocery carts
I need to return a cleaning item that I purchased by mistake.
A nice young man helped me by calling "Becca" to the front.
I explained to the young lady that I needed to return something that I purchased by mistake and "Becca" immediately cut me off to hurry up and let me know that I cannot return or exchange the one single item that I purchased because it was a cleaning product?????
I said look I understand that there is a no return policy for people that were hoarding.
I was simply trying to return this one single item that I purchased by mistake.
Am I crazy or is this new policy extreme, or selective?
I bought one item by mistake and now all of a sudden it's like I'm a criminal because I purchased the wrong cleaning item?
I felt that she was not being reasonable at all, nor did she care if she was or not.
Maybe she just wanted to go home because stocking the wine was more important.
What happened to basic customer service?
I didn't need my six bucks bad, I could have taken a rain check for the cleaner that I actually needed or made an exchange for something close to the same price.
If we're in "Becca's" position that's what I would have done.
Ps I always have my GoPro in my hand because when you come to this fry's it's a toss up with how you maybe treated.
Don't worry Frys I won't post the audio from my experience.
I hope to hear from a more professional manager tomorrow.
Once again everyone else was fine and I'm upset that I don't know the name of the other two employees that were excellent.
I only remember the name of the one employee that had poor customer service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
