[TOMT] [MOVIE] [2017] A movie about a fat guy who tries to lose weight for a girl

Open

The only things I can really remember is the guy is a pretty overweight guy who decides to lose weight mainly being because I think he has feelings for some girl who I think might be his co worker, anyway one of the scenes I vividly remember is him confessing his feeling to her after I believe he may have already lost some weight but she still rejects him, I could be wrong on this but I think she flat out tells him it is because he is too fat I could be wrong on this.
An additional detail was him making chicken breast at some point in the film lol. For some reason I also believe the name of the film was called "Weight" or something along those lines although nothing comes out when I search for this. the film also mush have come out pre 2018ish

Bones? Edit: not the TV show. There's a movie from 2017 called Bones.

Can't find it, Do you have a IMDB link?

There is a scene in The Invention of Lying where she tells him why she won't date him. The rest doesn't really match, but just in case.

Love that movie, but not it.

Me too. Great premise and well done.

Definitely a white guy, do not think it was a comedy more of a drama if I had to guess. I also believe he may have a room mate who could be his brother. Not 100% sure on the roomate/brother part.

Did they work in a resort or country club? Was someone turned blue because a tampered with bath bomb was put in a bath or jacuzzi?

It's not Superbad? Jonah Hill & Emma Stone I think have a similar situation where he asks her out and she rejects him , he was bit overweight then

The Whale? No co-worker stuff but it might be..

The Shape of Things (2003)? Paul Rudd and Rachel Weisz

Just saw this like two days ago for the first time but no, not it.

It doesn't quite match all the details but just in case, how about Just Friends (2005) with Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart?

Kinda off topic but Im brazilian and I made a few year ago a short movie project for school that has this exact same plotline

He looks a lot like the nutty professor

"Thinner"?

"Fatso" with Dom Deluise? She doesn't actually reject him, but he's concerned that she will, and the reason he wants to lose weight is because of the premature death of his even heavier cousin. Directed by Anne Bancroft!

The fat boy chronicles (2010)?

Could it be « How to lose weight in 4 easy steps » with (and by) Beck Bennett of SNL and Good Neighbor fame?
