The 2022 French Open has come to an end. On the men's side, Rafael Nadal dominated Casper Ruud for his record-extending 14th career French Open title. On the women's side, Iga Swiatek beat Coco Gauff to win her second French Open title.

At 36, Nadal is the oldest man to win at Roland Garros, and it came in dominant fashion: 6-3, 6-3, 6-0. It's Nadal's 22nd career Grand Slam triumph, ahead of his rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer by two for most all-time. After cruising to a first-set win, Nadal fell down three games to one in the second set. He would not lose another game after that, ripping off 11 straight games against Ruud, who was making his first Grand Slam final appearance.

Meanwhile, Swiatek's dominant 2022 continued with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Gauff. Swiatek has now won 35 straight matches, with her last loss coming back in February. As for the 18-year-old Gauff, it was a terrific run culminating in her first ever Grand Slam final appearance.
