Comments about Encyclopædia Britannica as a Alternative to Wikipedia
ab1Reliable source but not complete.
3PERCE_NEIGEIt's not about crowd-sourced content, but it's a reliable source of info, with checked content. For this, it should be considered as a Wikipedia alternative, to get the info (of course not for the crowd-source part, but most ot the Wikipedia users use the encyclopædia as an info source, not for editing.
4Wikipedia is free and edited by community. EB is commercial and without the community driven fresh information.
0tihedomecuBritanica is Better than Wikipedia.
0PERCE_NEIGEThat's better than Wikipedia, as info are checked, and edited by specialists. Wikipedia is fun, but it gives sometimes wrong info, and is a place where there are power and lobbies fights. I've found some weird propaganda pages, and I've been the first one to ask for deletion in years, and many other weird info found on this site. Wikipedia is useful to share knowledge, but it's really idealized, and a dangerous tool if it's the only encyclopædia that you use.

Comments about Kiwix as a Alternative to Wikipedia
PERCE_NEIGEIt's a good alternative (but it's an app, not a site), as it's offline Wikipedia. But they made weird choices because they chose the .zim extension for their archive. That's weird and everything but handy. And they should add a way to download only some articles, and turning them into .pdf or .epub, it would make the application really modern and handy!

Comments about Metapedia as a Alternative to Wikipedia
AriusIt is more concerned with facts and truth than with pushing an agenda. If it's been flagged by know-it-all busy-bodies as "extremist", you know it's probably honest.
2Metapedia similiar to Wikipedia, but without NPOV and PC.
1dayixeMetapedia unashamedly gives the pro-European perspective on political topics, while Wikipedia censors such opinions while considering itself neutral.
