The space
Cozy, Inviting Spaces
Nestle into a deep, comfy seat by the fireside, with long views out to the lake. Follow the stone steps down to the waterfront, taking in the exquisite landscaping that blends seamlessly with the rugged Canadian shield. A large Muskoka room (sunroom) with a view down to the water welcomes beautiful meals together, while the two large, bright and cozy living rooms invite laughter, conversation, and relaxed chill time.

The large living rooms, one on the main level, and the other on the lower level, both are outfitted with cozy, deep-seated sofas, plenty of cushions, and a fireplace where you can snuggle up and get toasty warm. Various board games are provided at Falcon’s Nest, including Risk, Chess, Scrabble and many others to provide hours of fun and quality time with your loved ones. We all need some downtime to relax. Netflix and chill, anyone? Curl up in front of a roaring fireplace and enjoy complimentary Netflix at Falcon’s Nest.

Gourmet Kitchen
Take in the serene lake views from the oversized windows as you delight in your fully stocked Chef’s kitchen. Upon request, the fridge will be stocked with all of your necessities to make for an easy, stress-free experience. Or perhaps you'd like to indulge in a full service decadent private chef experience, where your palate will be treated to a sumptuous feast, while everything from preparation, service and clean up is taken care of. Get ready to sit back with your feet up and a nice glass of wine or steaming mug of hot cocoa, while your private Chef takes care of the rest. Is there a certain cuisine or dish you have always wanted to learn? Cooking classes with your personal Chef in your gourmet kitchen are also an option, providing a fun, interactive, and memorable experience. Scrumptious catered meals may also be arranged.

Sumptuous Bedding
You will be lulled into a deep, restful sleep in luxurious sheets and uber comfortable beds. Step out unto a private deck from the main floor master, taking in the fresh air and lake views. The ensuite bedroom on the lower level opens up to the patio, step out from your bedroom and greet the morning with sunrise views across the lake.

Chic Boathouse
The stunning boathouse on the water features large glass garage doors and large deck spaces. It is a welcoming space with loungers, comfy seating, a bar area with a built-in kegerator for draft beer appeal. A space you will love lounging in.

Guest access
For winter:
A 4x4 (all wheel drive) vehicle is necessary in the winter. The laneway leading to the cottage is regularly maintained and plowed, as well as the top parking lot, however, snow accumulates quickly in Muskoka and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary for your safety as there are steep hills on the way to the cottage Parking in the winter is at the top of the driveway, about a 40 ft walk downhill to the cottage, good winter boots are strongly recommended. A sturdy ice fishing sled is kept at the cottage for your use, to bring your gear down to the cottage. The boathouse and dock are closed in the winter. There is no direct access to the Lake from the dock in the winter, as the bubbler that is protecting our dock creates open waters directly in front of the dock. Never attempt to step out unto the frozen lake near the dock, any ice in this area will be thin given the bubbler creating open waters to protect the dock.

There is a snowmobiling trail that goes out unto Lake Muskoka a two-minute walk away from the cottage. If you see fresh snowmobile tracks, it is safe to venture out unto the lake. A very cool experience walking out unto the frozen lake, a lake with depths of 250 feet in places.

For summer:
Parking closer to the cottage is available - 2 spots in front of the garage (no inside garage parking available) and 2 spots en route, down the hill to the cottage. There is also ample parking in the parking lot at the top of the driveway.

There are several steps that lead down from the patio to the deck area, to the boathouse. The stairs are not suitable if there are mobility issues.
Also, the water is deep immediately from the shore line, boathouse and dock. There is no shallow water entry. Caution needs to be exercised at all times, especially with children.

Other things to note
Note: our neighbours are in the process of remodeling their cottage. There may be some construction noise during your stay. This has not been an issue to date for guests who have stayed with us, we do not anticipate any issues.
