Kelsey Grammer is returning as Frasier Crane in the Frasier reboot, but his new adventures won't involve many of his Seattle-based family and friends.

Kelsey Grammer As Frasier Crane

Kelsey Grammer as Frasier at a piano in the Frasier revival

Kelsey Grammer plays Frasier Crane in the Frasier reboot cast. In the Frasier reboot, Frasier leaves Seattle once again and returns to Boston, while his brother Niles remains with Daphne in Seattle. The new series instead focuses on the next chapter in his life as Frasier takes on a new job teaching at Harvard, reconnecting with his estranged son Freddy.

Grammer is an actor from the U.S. Virgin Islands who got his start after training at Julliard. His breakout came thanks to his role as Frasier Crane in Cheers. Initially intended to be a short-term character, Cheers kept Dr Frasier Crane around until the final season before he got his spinoff on Frasier. While Grammer's biggest success came with Frasier, where he won five Primetime Emmy Awards, he has had a lot of success in the past in both movies and TV roles. Marvel fans will know him as Dr Hank McCoy AKA Beast in the Fox X-Men franchise. Other credits include roles in The Expendables 3, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Jesus Revolution. He has also voiced roles in Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, and is of course known for voicing Bart's arch nemesis Sideshow Bob on The Simpsons.

Nicholas Lyndhurst As Alan "Corny" Cornwall

Frasier and Alan in a bar in Frasier reboot

Nicholas Lyndhurst's Frasier reboot character is Alan "Corny" Cornwall, Frasier's oldest friend, having been a classmate during his Oxford days. While David Hyde Pierce has not returned as Niles for the Frasier reboot cast, Alan is essentially his sarcastic, witty replacement. Corny is a Havard university Psych professor with a suspected alcohol problem and a terrible work ethic. He is just as smart as Frasier but chooses not to use his intelligence all the time.

Lyndhurst is an English actor who got his start appearing in TV commercials and children's films in the 1970s. He finally got his breakout in the BBC TV version of The Prince of the Pauper in 1976 and sitcom Butterflies. However, his most popular role prior to joining the cast of the 2023 Frasier reboot is that of Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, the long-running British sitcom. He has very few movie roles in his past, with his last big screen appearance coming in the 2016 movie A United Kingdom. He has a much larger TV history, appearing in the likes of The Two of Us, Goodnight Sweetheart, After You've Gone, and New Tricks.

Jess Salgueiro As Eve

Jess Salgueiro joins the cast of the Frasier reboot as Eve, Freddy's roommate who works behind the bar in Corny's local, and has a young child to Freddy's best friend and fellow firefighter, who was killed in service. She is played by Jess Salgueiro, a Canadian actor who got her start mostly in Canadian movies like Who's Yer Father, Drifting Snow, and Dark Web: Cicada 3301.

Viewers in the U.S. might recognize her from her several notable appearances on the small screen prior to Frasier. She had a recurring role in the Guillermo Del Toro-produced horror series The Strain as Sherry. Salgueiro also had a recurring role in Saving Hope and Workin' Moms and more recently in Letterkenny, The Boys, Tiny Pretty Things, Jupiter's Legacy, and Y: The Last Man.

Jack Cutmore-Scott As Freddy Crane

Freddy and Frasier smiling in the new Frasier Reboot

Frasier's reboot has recast Freddy Crane for the third time: in 2023, Jack Cutmore-Scott plays the adult Freddy. Freddy is Frasier and Lilith's son and with the return to Boston, the two have a chance to reconnect. Father and son have a rocky relationship after the death of Martin Crane and Frasier's time living in Chicago. Like his grandfather, Freddy went into the services, dropping out of Harvard in order to join the fire service. Freddy was previously played in Frasier by Trevor Einhorn, who himself replaced Luke Tarsitano, and before him twins Christopher and Kevin Graves, who appeared as the infant Freddy on Cheers.

Cutmore-Scott is an English actor from London who started acting when he was 20. He got his first major movie role in Kingsman: The Secret Service as Rufus Saville. Cutmore-Scott has had several other movie roles prior to joining the cast of Frasier in the time since Kingsman, with the biggest coming in three Christopher Nolan movies — Dunkirk, Tenet, and Oppenheimer. He has also appeared in small roles in Magnum P.I., What If?, Jury Duty, and Hawaii Five-0.

Anders Keith As David Crane

Anders Keith's Frasier reboot character is David Crane, a returning character and the son of Niles and Daphne. He is a newcomer to Harvard university, where he studies in Frasier's Psych class. In the Frasier reboot, he is a freshman who has Niles' intelligence (and food allergies) and Daphne's charisma, but neither of their polish. David Crane in Frasier is actor Anders Keith's first major role.

Toks Olagundoye As Olivia Fitch

Toks Olagundoye joins the cast of the Frasier reboot as Olivia Fitch, the faculty head of the Psych department at Harvard, who has a somewhat prickly friendship with Corny and hires Frasier. She continues the grand tradition of horny Frasier characters by expressing her attraction to Freddy, despite their age difference, after seeing him in a shirtless fireman calendar.

Olagundoye is a Nigerian actor who was educated in Nigeria, Switzerland, and England before getting her degree in theater from Smith College. Her first role came in The Education of Max Bickford and used that to get guest roles on several network TV shows. She then enjoyed her breakout role on the 2012 ABC sitcom The Neighbors. She was also in the lead role in the 2023 television remake of Fatal Attraction and voiced Krang Two in the 2022 TV movie, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie. DC animated fans might also recognize her voice as Cat Grant in both The Death of Superman and Reign of the Superman.

Peri Gilpin As Roz Doyle

Frasier Crane looking shocked and Roz smiling

Peri Gilpin is returning to play Roz Doyle in the Frasier reboot cast in a supporting role. Gilpin was a longstanding cast member of the original Frasier TV series, as Roz was a central character to the show, producing Frasier's radio talk show for almost the entire run. It is unclear what kind of role she will play in the new series as Frasier has left Seattle and has moved to Boston.

Gilpin hails from Waco, Texas, and appeared on several TV shows in small appearances until she picked up the role as Roz on Frasier. She used that fame to start a production company with her fellow Frasier co-star Jane Leeves, and they helped produce the Kirstie Alley series The Vicar of Dibley (a remake of the UK original). Video game fans might recognize her voice from the movie adaptation, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and animated TV fans might recognize her voice from Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League as Volcana and Hellboy animated movies as Professor Kate Corrigan. She also starred as Katerine Cooper in Scorpion.

Bebe Neuwirth As Lilith Sternin

Frasier and Lilith in the bar in Cheers

One more, Bebe Neuwrith's plays Lilith Sternin in the Frasier reboot. Next to Kelsey Grammer, this is the biggest return from the past. Lilith is Frasier's ex and mother to Freddy who lives in Boston. She drips with sarcasm, intelligence and dry wit, clashing over the years with Frasier's family, and having an occasionally explosive relationship with her ex-husband. The pair separated prior to Frasier moving to Seattle.

Neuwirth played Lilith in both Cheers and Frasier. Neuwirth is a former multi-time Emmy and Tony Award winner who is from New Jersey and got her start working in theatrical stageplays in the 1980s. Her breakout role came in Cheers as Lilith, a role she played from the fourth to the ninth season of the show. She went on to appear in 12 episodes of Frasier and made an appearance in another Cheers spinoff called Wings. She has also appeared in Jumanji, Summer of Sam, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Faculty, NewsRadio, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and Madam Secretary. Most recently, she appeared in Jumanji: The Next Level, Tick, Tick... Boom!, and the Max series Julia.
