Rainfall over the last 30 days has been below normal for most areas with the exception of southern Stark, Wayne and northern Tuscarawas counties. (areas circled below)

Showers will arrive this morning with high coverage.

Rain will continue through early afternoon with local areas of thunder. Overall coverage drops by late afternoon/early evening.

Friday Futurecast:

Locally heavy rainfall especially southern counties this afternoon.

Saturday looking better, steady rain and thunder will be confined to the southern half of the state. More sun as the day goes on.

Temperatures stay near/slightly above normal into next week.

Next chance for rain/storms will be Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Long range outlook shows a weak front next Wednesday with slightly “cooler” temps briefly behind it.
