Stayed here for one night over the holiday season and this was my fourth time staying here. The hotel is in a great location and has all the amenities you could ask for in walking distance. I have always stayed in the B Tower/Elevator rooms previously and enjoyed my stay. This time I was in the C Tower/Elevators and there is a major difference between them. The C rooms are not renovated and in a strong need of updates. The furniture is highly marked up, carpet dirty, and overall just in need of an update like the rooms in the B tower. Staff were friendly as always and I will return with the caveat I have a room in the renovated tower and not the C tower again.
I guess you pay for what you get , very plain room . No black out blinds , lights from the streets kept us up, no place for a coffee, unless you pay tons at the Ihops down stairs . Don't go to the Starbucks, they are privately owned, cost me 50$ for 3 drinks. Also pool is capped at 20 ppl . Jet tub is not working , the water was freezing. We booked when no one else was booked. Along came 6 ppl without a booking , they stayed way passed the hr while we could only stay 40 mins in the pool .
Made reservations approximately 3 weeks in advance based on a email deal sent to my inbox. Travelled down with my child for an overnight visit and was so disappointed at the level of service provided when I attempted to check in. Like most establishments I have visited recently in Niagara Falls , I reserved my room with a credit card but always pay upfront for the entire stay plus every and any required deposit s( generally $200-$250 depending on the hotel)with my visa debit. I find this easier to do as you get your deposit back upon check out and does not have to wait for days to get the money back on you credit card. To my surprise when I got to this Hotel the Manager who was also doing check ins told me he would be happy to take the money for the entire stay upfront on my visa debit but will need a credit card for the $50 deposit! I was baffled that he would rather to have $50 instead of over $200 deposit. He refused to check myself and my child in and told us we could purchase a prepaid visa for $50 at a Shoppers Drug store near by and he would accept that. Baffled and tired , I went to the store to purchase the card waited in line gave all my details only for the system to crash before the transaction was completed 😒.. Needless to say I had to sit in my car a book another reservation at another hotel( upscale and way better for a few dollars more) We had a Fallsview room with two Queen beds😊.. They had no problem taking , cash, credit or debit upon check in!! I left a message for upper management ( no response received)and also called Marriot Bonvoy to air my disappointment no real change I am afraid. I will just ensure I avoid the four points hotel like a plague. Never ever again!!! Btw the reason given by the manager who refused to check us in was that due the Pandemic this is their policy🤔I would think due to the Pandemic and lack of business any hotel cannot afford to be this picky??? but hey !!…
I am a healthcare worker and my wife and I needed to get away from the stress of working under strict rules of Covid. I was told the pool was open at time of booking. When my wife and I arrived the pool was closed because of a broken pool heater. Due to Covid and respecting all the local enforcements and business closures we were really looking forward to swimming in the pool but it was closed. Advertised room rate of $75.00 for 1st night and $85.00 for 2nd night should have cost $160.00 + 20.80 tax total of $180.80. But my final bill came out to $261.05 and I only parked one night on their property. Four Points have mastered hidden fee charges. It could have been even hire if I would have parked in your parking lot the second night for an additional parking fee of $50.00 for parking on a Friday!!! This particular property of Four Points by Sheraton Niagara Falls Fallsview reached the peak of nothingness for those with Elite status with Starwood/Bonvoy. As a platinum Elite Member, my status was never once mentioned by the check in lady and no upgrade whatsoever was given - not even a view upgrade. Very surprisingly that this upgrade was never offered or even mentioned during this empty covid seasons in the mid of November 2020 - this property at this time at the maximum of 20% capacity - empty y parking lots and almost no one in hotel during the travel restriction Pros: - $21 reasonable across the street self parking - direct cross the street walk-way to the casino - one of the cheapest SPG/Bonvoy property in the are (not the best choice - for the same rate better to choose: courtyard marriott down the street) Cons: - $40 on site parking (not even a valet) - NO room upgrade even for Platinum Bonvoy member (not even an upgraded view room) - NO elite recognition whatsoever ——one of the worse experience for elite member of any four points properties, VERY VERY DISSATISFIED——- …
