Beautiful, sunny and cold afternoon at the beach an hour and a half before low tide. Easy parking by the rock protected road. Maybe 8 people on the beach this time of year/day. Hunting for sea glass. Walked maybe a third of the beach. Warmer weather would definitely make for an all day stay.

We were able to park and see the lovely beach and ocean, but the beach is blocked off by some very large stones that line the highway and prevent all but the most agile from getting down to the water. There is an entrance pathway that has a sign noting that it is a private beach for the use of a homeowners association only.

Wish we could have gone at low tide. But, we still found some sea glass! Difficult to find beach entry but worth it.

Driving along the ocean, I came to Fortunes Rocks Beach. At the parking area, there were signs stating that only permit parking was allowed May 1 – September 15 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. So, it was a limited access beach for non-residents.
It wasn’t crowded when I got there about 5:00 PM. I walked a bit to get a good look at it. This beach was well beyond the enormous Fortunes Rocks. It was a pretty nice beach. I rate it at 4.0.

We had a great time at Fortunes Rock Beach, visiting almost every day during our two week vacation here. At low tide there is a lot of exposed sand, and you get to really understand how you can walk out 20-40 yards into the water and still be standing.
We had great weather, if a little on the hot side with a few days in the mid 90’s ... this is not the Maine I have come to expect; and the weather was too perfect with slight breezes most of the time that left the ocean a little to calm. Most days body surfing was out, and bogie boarding was marginal, but if that is the price to pay for a great two weeks in Maine I am all for it.
Great location, I would love to come back to Biddeford Pool and Fortune Rocks Beach again.

Great beach with nice white sand. If you are driving distance away, get a parking pass at Biddeford City Hall. After 5, none is needed.

We have been coming here for years and now live in the surround area. We always feel at peace, serene, peaceful and calm.
even if the ocean is rumbling , we see surfers relishing in the water and it makes it an interesting sight.
There is always a place to find tranquility and space for reflection in the middle of this beautiful open space. amazing photo opts.

We stopped here late morning to look for seaglass and my first thought is that it’s a “real” beach. The beaches in Kennebunkport were really small compared to this one. We saw surfers in the water as well. Note that there is permit parking only.

I live about 8 miles away and I'm blessed to have this beach nearby. My wife and I visit often. The beach is right along the road and it bordered by huge rocks. There are 2 sets of stairs to get over the rocks or just climb over them as I do. At low tide the beach is huge and flat. Swimmers can go out quite far before even getting to their waist. Great for kids as it does not drop off quickly. During tides, waves can be a pretty good size for surfing or boogie boarding, or just having fun in the waves!

I just wrote a review for the wrong beach. It should be for Ferry Beach State Park Beach. I don't know if this can be switched. Thank you. Lauri Sybel

similar beaches...Ferry Beach is a state park with changing rooms and showers but you must pay to get into park...Fortunes Rocks beach is public and there is no parking...
How is Biddeford f or a 20 year old male? Do they have skate parks at all?
