The Fort Worth Botanical Garden is a gem and it was great to be able to have a nice lunch and continue our visit. For lunch we started with a humas plate which was wonderful and will be a great starter in the future. Our...meals started with the soup of the day which was a Pepper soup and was flavorful and a nice start. For me I always enjoy a Ruben, and it may not be a NY deli but was well prepared and flavorful so I enjoyed it. Service was good, clearly they were busy so some delays but the atmosphere was good.More

It was a blistering hot morning and we had spend too long in museums and gardens with three children, who were now tired and hungry. We dared to take them to the Gardens Restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised by attentive service and a lovely...atmosphere. We asked to be seated in the small indoor dining room right along with the other luncheon diners. The server was professional, treated each school-age child with polite respect and answered all their questions. She quickly brought water and diversions. And we know she also had a hand in putting our orders through the kitchen quickly. Salads and wraps were tasty and the menu offered lots of choice. The calming effect of the space and the care of staff turned an edgy morning into a relaxing afternoon. Couldn't ask for better.More

Our family visited the restaurant at 10 a.m. on a Sunday not realizing it was Father's Day (without a reservation). To our surprise, there were only two sets of diners. We were easily seated and permitted to immediately access buffet. There was a nice selection...of items at the buffet including meat and meatless entrees, salad, fruit and dessert. Our table was near the bar area. This section of the restaurant is not really used as a bar but more to store glassware. Unfortunately, there is a skylight that has intense light coming through at a direct angle (sun moving east and moving west). Those sensitive to light or who get hot easily will not want to sit in this area. Our server was a little slow in getting us drink refills or replacement napkins/silverware. However, other staff members also assisted when passing by. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Parking was challenging to find due to wedding and quincenera photos that were taking place in the gardens. There is an outdoor dining area (raised dining porch) for those who would like to enjoy that area during cooler moments. Visit the lovely greenhouse next to the restaurant as well. We had a nice experiencing at the restaurant and in the Gardens, and would return.More

We had a late lunch in this restaurant situated in the middle of the Ft. Worth Botanical Garden. We walked to the restaurant not knowing that in fact you can drive there and park in a contiguous lot. (We would recommend this unless you wish...to see all the garden which is worthwhile also) Great varied menu with good wine, beer and alcohol choices. You can have a light snack or a complete dinner here. The bread pudding was especially good.More

Waitress was excellent. Food was too. I had chicken kabobs with salad and humas and pita bread. So much I had to share with my husband. Take the time to have lunch. Well worth it.

Surprise! This little restaurant is in the Botanical Gardens of Ft Worth and is a most delightful place. Our meal was 5 stars. Our waitress, Elizabeth, is the best waitress we've ever had anywhere. Birthday girl got a free cheesecake (excellent) on a plate decorated...with a birthday message. And as a bonus, you can combine your dining experience with a beautiful walk around the Botanical Gardens. Our Red Hat chapter ate here and then strolled through the Japanese Garden nearby.More

I was impressed with the garden sampler platter just because it had a little bit of everything I wanted for a reasonable price – fruit salad, chicken salad, quiche, and soup. It tasted above average, too. I'd skip the cocktails – they tasted faintly of...dish soap and were weak on the liquor. We had outdoor seating, which was nice at first, until it got too hot. They should really put a canopy over the whole porch or umbrellas on every table instead of only on two or three. I imagine no one would want to sit there in summer or when the sun is high. The service was so-so. (Generally okay, but it took a long time for them to bring our check.) If I were in the gardens for a long day, I would stop there for lunch again, but I wouldn't order cocktails and I would ask to sit inside.More

This was our first time to the restaurant, and we went for Mother’s Day Brunch, so I cannot comment on the quality of the food and service during normal times. Bottom line: this restaurant should NOT attempt to do a holiday buffet. There was a...lot of confusion with the hostesses attempting to seat parties, and these were parties that had reservations. I observed that one group had a reservation, had not known to signify outside or inside seating and was stuck outside in order to get a table. (Hot and humid day) The food was not worth the $35 per person charge. The eggs, salmon, bacon, mashed potatoes and pasta were at room temperature, borderline cold. The dessert display was messy with crumbs, and every dessert was chocolate based. Not a lot of variety. The wait staff was terrific but understandably overworked. The air conditioning was barely able to keep the inside seating area cool. We will be going somewhere else next year.More

We decided to have lunch here while visiting the Botanic Gardens. Biggest surprise was the very economical price for excellent food and fantastic service! Our waitress Stefanie also had great suggestions for spending our evening at the Stockyards. Can't wait to visit again and try...more of their tasty menu options!More

Our group of five tried several items on the menu. Group favortie was the Apricot Chicken Salad, I had the sandwich and it was very good, loved the fresh flavor and the added sweet hint of apricot, it was also on the Garden Sampler. Other...dishes tried; Garden Quiche (yummy), Tortilla Soup (tasty) and one order of Salmon (done perfect).More

We went to the Japanese Garden Festival and decided to eat lunch in the garden so we could walk around some more. What a pleasant surprise. Our food was outstanding. The poblano tilapia was one of the best fish dishes I've ever eaten. My husband...said the burger was great too. The salad was super fresh. The fries were just okay. We chose not to eat dessert, but we saw plenty of people eating the chocolate mousse cake, so it seems to be a favorite. Our server Elizabeth made the experience even better. She checked on us regularly throughout the meal and kept our glasses of tea and water full. We bought a membership to the garden so I see Gardens Restaurant becoming a regular stop.More

Spur of the moment decision to have a late lunch after a walk through the Japanese Garden. Several tables on the restaurant's front lawn. Enthusiastic and friendly service by Brittany, nice mix of menu choices, quick re-fills on beverages despite busy times. Food was good...and portions satisfying.More

As I walked in, I was greeted by a server and seated on the patio, under huge spreading shade trees. What's nicer than sitting in a beautiful garden for lunch? After a brief chat with the server, I ordered coffee and quiche. The coffee is...fresh, dark, rich, not at all bitter. The quiche is a well-made, light, filled with fresh garden vegetables - whatever was best today - all tucked into an incredible crust. Servers checked several times, to refill my coffee, to ask if I needed anything else. Desert? Not today. I'll come back another time for desert, so I can enjoy it as thoroughly as I enjoyed the quiche today. What a wonderful way to meet my need for food!More

We were trying to visit the Japanese Gardens during Stock Show time in Fort Worth and got turned around because of traffic and ended up at the Botanical Gardens instead. We were told the Japanese Gardens were a short hike, so we started off. Now...I have to confess to being out of shape so after walking through Nature Forest Boardwalk (very cool in itself), I was ready for a break and something cold ot drink. We found the Gardens restaurant and decided to have an impromptu lunch. The place is pleasant and very cute. The menu was interesting and featured not only salads as you would expect but also some heartier sandwiches. I had the Turkey club wrap and my husband had the cobb salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. Both were excellent but we ordered a apricot chicken salad stuffed avocado to split and ended up wishing we had both gone with that. The salad was fresh and served with a hot buttered roll and strawberry butter. Service was great and the ice tea was a life saver! Did not expect to find such a nice restaurant in the botanical gardens.More
