Welcome to the Fort Pierce West KOA! The Gateway to the Beautiful Florida Keys!!

Fort Pierce, often called “The Sunrise City”, has been the hub of St. Lucie County, Florida for over 100 years.  We are situated on the Treasure Coast, named after the famed sinking of a Spanish treasure fleet in 1715.  Our KOA is located just off of I-95 (exit 129 FL 70 Okeechobee Road) and the Turnpike (Exit 152 Okeechobee Road) in South Florida.  We offer large, level pull-thru and back-in RV sites with 50/30/20 amp service, complimentary WiFi, cable TV and we are satellite friendly.  Take a dip in our beautiful pool and bring your fishing poles, so you can drop a line in our Catch & Release pond. Visit our friendly campground store for all of your essential RV supplies, or stop by for a cup of coffee, ice cream and a friendly smile.  Missed dinner? Our area restaurants deliver to our campground you can order through the Door Dash app.   If you need a place to eat out with Fido, just ask and we can give you some ideas.  Our campground is pet-friendly and has a KampK9 dog park to allow your furry-friend some off leash time. Fort Pierce is a vibrant coastal community with beautiful beaches, historical sites, with the flavor of an “Old Florida” fishing town.   The magnificent sunrises on the Indian River Lagoon, or rising over the ocean, are breathtaking - none can compare.   Fort Pierce is one of Florida's best-kept secrets, with museums and a wealth of cultural and recreation attractions.

  • Arts & Culture - The arts are alive and well in Fort Pierce, with museums, art galleries, performing arts and more. The A. E. Backus Museum & Gallery features original artwork from Florida landscape artist A.E. “Beanie” Backus and changing exhibits from contemporary artists. At the historic Sunrise Theatre, the city's performing arts hub, catch amazing shows, dance, comedy and music. The Underground Art Market offers visitors unique art classes and displays from local artists.
  • Shopping & Dining - Dine and shop ‘til you drop in downtown Fort Pierce with endless options. Relax along the water at the Manatee Island Bar & Grill, sip on a craft brew at Sailfish Brewery or a cup of fresh brewed coffee at Importico's Bakery Café. Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts, jewelry, décor and more at Rosslow'sChic and Shore Things and a number of boutiques and galleries.
  • Outdoors & Eco-tours - Fort Pierce is the best place to experience Florida's natural resources. The Fort Pierce City Marina is the perfect home for your boat while you visit—it's right in the middle of town. Step aboard a wildlife boat tour on the Indian River Lagoon with Captain Chop, launch your kayak right behind the Manatee Observation & Education Center, or head down to the new Melody Lane Fishing Pier for some great fishing.
  • Beaches Are Just a Short Drive Away - The beaches of Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce are proud to be one of the only places within the state of Florida that permits horseback riding on the beach!  The beaches designated for this activity are secluded, rustic, and picturesque.  It is the perfect opportunity for the family to embark on an unforgettable adventure or the perfect setting for a couple to solidify their commitment with a marriage proposal (many engagements happen here!).  In addition, many other parks and preserves in St. Lucie have been equipped with equestrian trials and amenities to explore on horseback. Discover St. Lucie's 21 miles of uncrowded and pristine beaches, where nearly half the coastline is public preservation — a rare characteristic for a South Florida beach destination. What's more, is that visitors enjoy more public beach access points per square mile than any other coastal community in Florida. With exception of the Florida State Park beaches, all beaches in St. Lucie are free admission and free parking and many are equipped with amenities, such as bathrooms, pavilions, dune walkovers, and more.
