Absolutely one of the most expensive self-service restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. Insanely expensive for pretty simple fish. The Fish and chips are OK, The chips are good and so is the clam chowder and the bowl of white beans. The tacos...aren’t that good and neither is the salmon sandwich. All are priced as if you were at it a one star restaurant. Fish and chips, a side of white beans and a piece of cake for dessert was $42. Wow!More

If you're in the mood to spoil yourself and you want a view, this is a good choice. The menu is, of course, fish-oriented. While the prices might raise an eyebrow, you get a meal that's worth it. I ordered a Dungeness crab louie salad...that cost $50, but there must have been almost half a pound of crab. My husband tried the Saigon salmon sandwich, which came with a huge pile of fries and a sandwich easily large enough for two people. Fish, situated on the Sausalito boat dock, presents a mix of hits and misses. First off, there’s plenty of free parking. Secondly, service was quick and efficient. You order in line, find a place to sit (indoors or outdoors), and wait for your food to...arrive. Thirdly, there’s a lot of dishes to choose from. These are what we ordered - The fish and chips, although seasoned well, were disappointingly oily. The clam pasta, which had good reviews, lacked flavor. The dozen of mixed oysters weren't properly shucked. And, they were not inexpensive. On the bright side, the clam chowder stood out and the view was captivating. While the meal had its high and low points, the delightful clam chowder and scenic view added value to the experience. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. There are other seafood places worth trying.More

We stopped into Sausalito for lunch after our trip to Muir Woods. Initially we wanted to sit outside on the picnic benches but we changed our mind with the high winds. We lined up to order our food and it came in 15-20 minutes. The...soup was one of the best chowders I've had in a while and the salmon burger tasted uniquely fresh and homemade. Even my son's children's meal of fish sticks and fries tasted fresh like the ocean. The Korean bao and the clams were also good. Only one drawback was that my halibut tasted a bit overcooked.More

we had a delicious meal @ FISH. we have been there many times and NEVER been disappointed. Always high quality fish and the service is quick, fast and easy. We had Halibut on home made pasta. I would make a sauce a little thicker if...I was the chef but it was very good We had the smashburger with trout that was way too salty but very good. the "sauce" they use on it was very good the watermelon and tomato salad was delicous.More

I got the fish and chips. I was not thrilled by the taste. They taste like they were fried in OLD oil. The chips were just ok too. Nothing to right home about. They might be better if the oil was fresh. My wife got...the salmon sandwich with a salad. My wife raved about the salad. I tasted the salmon and it was good.More

Sometimes the line outside looks long, but don’t be discouraged. These guys are experts at moving it along and getting their great food to the table in record time. I had Alaskan Cod fish and chips. It’s a little more expensive ($21) than their regular...fare, but definitely worth the cost. Best I’ve eaten on this side of the Atlantic. Really!More

Fish is a real treat! The food is sustainable and pricey, and super delicious. They are cash only, so make sure to have money on hand. The views and outdoor seating are great on a sunny day. Fish is an institution.

Family friendly waterfront dining. Yes, it is expensive and you order at a counter, but it is not “fast food”. The portions are huge, and the quality is very high. We thoroughly enjoyed our fish tacos, a burger, and the crab special.

Had a perfect lunch on the deck on a beautiful sunny Saturday. Delicious halibut, crab dip, fish and chips. Although there was a line to place our order, it moved very quickly. Our food was delivered to our table within about ten minutes. Fresh and...delicious!More

My wife and I went for a casual dinner with a couple of friends at Fish last night and I can confidently say we will never go back again. While both food and location are really good, I was shocked at the behavior of some...of the staff. My wife is a transgender woman, and to see a couple of the chefs blatantly talking about her and laughing one another, while we were ordering food was absolutely out of order. When we confronted their manager, he simply apologized and blamed it on the fact most of the staff can’t speak English. We even pointed out one of the guys who was involved in the accident and he simply shrugged his shoulder with a grin on his face. Once again, we will never, EVER step in there again, and we’re glad we never experienced such a bad, backwards and disrespectful service anywhere else in the Bay nor in the city. Extremely disgusted and disappointed.More
