The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales registered a non-insignificant decrease in September 2021 compared to September 2020, representing the fifth consecutive month of declines for The Blue Oval brand in the South American country. However, the 2,895 units that Ford delivered last month marks a significant volume recovery compared to other months thus far in 2021. In fact, the September performance also marks the highest sales result in the Argentine market since March 2021.

Despite the sharp decline in sales of models like the Ka, which ceased being manufactured in Brazil and imported to Argentina, three Ford models managed to post gains sales volume gains in Argentina during September. The domestically-built Ranger led the recovery and established itself as the best-selling model in Brazil. It was followed by the Territory and the F-150, each posting outstanding triple-digit increases.

In addition, the restart of Ford EcoSport sales in Argentina via Indian-made units also helped September 2021 sales volume. The subcompact crossover managed to gain sales volume from the few dozen sold in recent months, positioning itself as the second best-selling Ford model in the country during the month.
