mind_meddler I'm baffled by the lack of acclaim for 'Flashback' because it's hands down one of the most captivating films I've encountered in recent years. This isn't your casual watch-while-scrolling-through-your-phone kind of movie; it demands your attention, but trust me, the payoff is immense. Rarely do I feel compelled to revisit a film, yet with 'Flashback,' I'm eagerly anticipating my next viewing. Its eerie ambiance coupled with stellar performances creates an experience reminiscent of a profound psychedelic journey. If you're drawn to mind-bending, trippy narratives, 'Flashback' is a must-watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Amy A Done well. Kept my attention the whole movie. Give it a try. You might just like it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Roderic M An absolute force majeure of an unrelenting turd, and besides a little self indulgent while robbing me of precious minutes from my existence, this film has no artistic merit, its like an 18 year old got hold of Adobe after effects and couldn't resist the urge to turn it in to an epileptics worst nightmare. Just my opinion 🤷 😌 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review steven d Wow. One of the best scifi films Ive watched in years. Mindbending. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/23 Full Review Aaron W Patience is required; this film unfolds slowly. But 3/4 of the way through, there's a moment when the elusive point of the film hit me (HARD!) It makes for a seriously cool sci-fi moment. Hope I'm not spoiling anything. The kernel of the story is as original as the path to that idea. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/23 Full Review Jon S A beautiful movie that warrants repeat viewings but left me feeling profoundly touched by the themes raised and the people of this story, who are reflections of the viewer and the people of their lives. Dylan's lead performance is a feat, vastly underrated, as was this film in general. Deserves much higher tomato score! Fans of Nolan, Matrix, Donnie Darko, Enter the Void and Jacobs Ladder will enjoy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review It ended up sticking with me...I keep getting flashbacks from Flashback... Jun 23, 2021 Full Review Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Pretty boring! Jun 8, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety MacBride is always in full control of the modestly scaled feature's refined aesthetics and storytelling focus, smoothly maintaining viewer interest if not always our full involvement. Jun 3, 2021 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast Flashback is a film that will require multiple viewings to make sense of. The problem is it is not engaging enough to merit revisiting. Rated: 2/5 Nov 12, 2022 Full Review Josh Parham Next Best Picture The intentionally messy nature of the plot frustrates as much as it intrigues. Rated: 6/10 Jun 5, 2022 Full Review Lisa Nystrom FILMINK (Australia) ...does its best to be a high concept film questioning the effects of free will on reality, its ambition is sadly lost in the dreamlike haze of its chaotic narrative.
