Blonde Bombshells

Well, it took a little longer to get Round 4 of what has become my most popular string of articles, but it's finally done and ready for your inspection. Even though these are entries 46–60 in my series of Most Beautiful Blond Actresses articles, these lists aren't ranked. Any one of these ladies are quite capable of topping any list of blonde bombshells.

Some of these women are relative newcomers, others are vintage beauties. I am sure there are many women you believe should have been included by now, but that's what future articles are for. Enjoy the present!

Sarah Roemer

Sarah Roemer

1. Sarah Roemer

Sarah Christine Roemer was born August 28, 1984, in San Diego. It probably came as no surprise to anyone who knew her that this California girl turned to modeling at 15 years old. Her first movie role was in the 2006 film, The Grudge 2, but that quickly followed by appearances in Disturbia (2007), the highly underrated Fired Up! (2009), and The Con Artist (2010), which also co-starred Rebecca Romijn (see below).

From there she moved into TV, with lead roles in The Event (2010–11) and Chosen (2013–14). If her IMDb page slows down in 2015, she had a pretty good reason. Roemer married Chad Michael Murray, her Chosen co-star, and they have three children: a son born in 2015, and two daughters, the first born in 2017, the second in 2023.

Sarah has proven herself to be a strong actress in both dramatic and comedic roles and always brightens the screen with her sunny disposition and radiant beauty. Whether delivering lines or simply bringing beauty to the screen, Sarah is an actress who is always an asset to a film or TV project.

Katheryn Winnick

2. Katheryn Winnick

Born December 17, 1977, Canadian actress Katheryn Winnick has developed a loyal following of fans with her appearances in everything from B-movie horror (the awesome Satan's Little Helper) to butt-kicking action (the seriously overlooked Killers).

She came on the radar for many as Lagertha in the television series, Vikings, which she acted in for six seasons (2013–2020). She also appeared in the Netflix supernatural series, Wu Assassins (2019), which led to her role as Jenny Hoyt on Big Sky, an ABC crime drama that lasted for three seasons (2020–2023).

Katheryn also starred in the films Amusement (2008), Choose (2010), A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III (2012), The Art of the Steal (2013), Polar (2019), and The Marksman (2021).

Strikingly beautiful, this blue-eyed blond bombshell is known not only for her gorgeous good looks but for her devastating martial arts moves as well. Katheryn has the skills to back up her movie personae, working as a professional bodyguard when not on the set filming movies.

3. Sondra Locke

Sondra Locke may be better known as Clint Eastwood's one-time girlfriend than for her acting career, but that does not mean she is any less talented. She received both an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her very first film, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968). She also received a Golden Globe nomination that year for Most Promising Newcomer.

She had some early success but there is no denying her biggest accomplishments were the six films she made with Clint Eastwood between 1976 and 1983. Beginning with The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Sondra began an on-and-off screen relationship with Eastwood that lasted fourteen years.

The couple's last film together was the fourth installment of the Dirty Harry series, 1983's Sudden Impact. Sondra played a rape victim-turned-serial killer who—it is strongly implied—Harry lets walk away after the last rapist is dead. This became the most successful film of the franchise, most famous for spawning Harry's line, "Go ahead, make my day." It was also Sondra's finest—and some would say final— significant performance.

Jodie Foster in 1982

4. Jodie Foster

It's seems strange to say out loud, but Jodie Foster has been a star for about half a century. From the time she appeared in Martin Scorsese's gritty 1976 classic, Taxi Driver, fans and movie directors have constantly had their eye on Jodie. She actually began her career a few years before that, but Taxi Driver was her first major role.

She has won two Academy Awards for Best Actress, first for 1989's The Accused and two years later for 1991's Silence of the Lambs. Of course, now she is a director and moviemaker, but there's no denying her continuing appeal as an actress.

In fact, as of this writing, she's a Best Supporting Actress nominee for Nyad, the 2023 biopic about swimmer Diana Nyad. Jodie is also starring as Chief Liz Danvers in True Detective: Night Country, the fourth installment of the True Detective crime series, which premiered on HBO on January 14, 2024.

Born November 19, 1962, Jodie has grown up with the eyes of the world upon her, yet she has always been gracious, poised and simply stunning. She has handled fame and success admirably, even during some rocky time when she was stalked by some mentally disturbed individuals including John Hinckley, Jr. who became obsessed with Jodie and eventually attempted to assassinate then-President Ronald Reagan in a twisted attempt to impress the star.

Rebecca Romijn

5. Rebecca Romijn

Rebecca Alie Romijn was born November 6, 1972, in Berkeley, California, and first gained fame as a fashion model who appeared in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and worked with Victoria's Secret, among other fashion magazines. She routinely made lists of the world's most beautiful women for publications such as Maxim and FHM.

Romijn began acting in the late 1990s, but had her breakthrough when she starred as Mystique in the first X-Men film in 2000. Rebecca was married to actor John Stamos from September 1998 until March 2005 and used the hyphenated last name Romjin-Stamos during that time. She later married Jerry O'Connell, another actor (The Goonies), though this time she has avoided the hyphenation.

Recently, Romijn starred as Number One on Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery (2019). That season was so popular that a spinoff, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, was created with Rebecca continuing as Number One. The show debuted in 2022, it has completed two seasons, and a third is currently in production.

Britt Robertson

6. Britt Robertson

Brittany Leanna "Britt" Robertson was born April 18, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina, but grew up about an hour away in the small town of Chester, South Carolina. She began acting on stage locally, but was making frequent trips to Los Angeles for auditions before she was even a teenager. Those trips paid off with small roles on television, followed by her first starring film role in 2003's The Ghost Club.

Since then, Britt has appeared in numerous movies, including a role as one of Steve Carrell's daughters in the 2007 film, Dan in Real Life. After that came the rom-com, The First Time (2012), Disney's sci-fi blockbuster, Tomorrowland (2015), and the family comedy, A Dog's Purpose (2017).

Britt also maintained a consistent presence on TV, taking on lead roles in Life Unexpected (2010–11), The Secret Circle (2011–12), and Under the Dome (2013–14). More recently, she played a recurring role in Season 1 of Big Sky—opposite Katheryn Winnick (see above)—as well as a lead role in The Rookie: Feds, a police procedural crime drama that was cancelled after one season (2022–23) in the fallout of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

7. Veronica Lake

In addition to being known for her many film roles, Veronica Lake popularized what became known as the peekaboo hairstyle that featured a lock of hair falling across her right eye. The hairstyle was iconic and was immediately copied by women around the world.

That said, Veronica abandoned the style during World War II as part of the war effort. She appeared in promotional films with shorter hair as a way to encourage women working in factories to adopt a safer hairstyle. Many say this may have harmed her career as her look was unique, but to her credit, Lake was more concerned with the well-being of her fans.

Born in 1922, Lake passed away sadly at the relatively young age of 50 due to the effects of alcoholism in 1973. Her film career was for all extents and purposes over by the mid-1950s though she did make a couple more films, the last of which was the self-financed ultra-low budget Flesh Feast. Her glory days were well behind her by then, but for fans those days live on now and forever.

Beatrice Rosen

8. Beatrice Rosen

Beatrice Rosen was born in New York City but was raised in France and has probably gained the most notice in films with small roles in The Dark Knight (2008) and 2012 (2009) playing Russian girlfriends of wealthy men. Her most recent movie appearance was in The Saint, the 2017 reboot of the '60s British TV series.
