Songs of Praise, 14 April 2024, BBC One “Laura Wright”
BBC One’s long-running religious programme Songs of Praise returns with a new episode, featuring singer Laura Wright sharing the hymns and sacred music that have shaped her life and faith.
Wright, a soprano who rose to fame as a teenager after winning BBC Chorister of the Year, reflects on her 20-year career with Pam Rhodes. They explore the music that has accompanied her journey, from performing in stadiums around the world to becoming one of the nation’s favourite classical singers.
The episode, titled “Laura’s Faith and Music“, also sees Sean Fletcher exploring the impact of faith on health and wellbeing at a spiritual retreat centre in North Wales. Additionally, Aled Jones visits Canterbury to celebrate Easter at the oldest church in England.
Songs of Praise continues to bring inspiring hymns and uplifting stories of faith to viewers, showcasing the rich diversity of Christian music and experiences from across the UK and beyond.
Songs of Praise airs on BBC One at 1:15 pm on Sunday, 14 April 2024.
