The Berlinale Talents Summit with its talks, workshops and think tanks in Berlin is the core of the event in February and attended by all 200 Talents together. All applicants must complete the General Application.
You are eligible to apply if you have worked as the credited director on at least two short films (all lengths, all genres) or one feature length film (min. 60 minutes, all genres) that have been officially invited to film festivals or have been released theatrically or widely on streaming platforms (market screenings, local events, showcases for student films do not count). Alternatively, you qualify with your participation as the director of at least one high-quality series (3 or more episodes of at least 20 minutes length each) that was presented in festivals or broadcast on a TV channel or streaming platform.

You are eligible to apply if you have worked as a credited producer of at least two short films (all lengths, all genres) or one feature length film (min. 60 minutes, all genres) that have been officially invited to film festivals or have been released theatrically or widely on streaming platforms (market screenings, local events, showcases for student films do not count). Alternatively, you qualify with your participation as a producer in at least one high-quality series (3 or more episodes of at least 20 minutes length each) that was presented in festivals or broadcast on a TV channel or streaming platform.
You are eligible to apply if you have worked as a credited actor in a leading or supporting role on at least two short films (all lengths, all genres) or one feature length film (min. 60 minutes, all genres) that have been officially invited to film festivals or have been released theatrically or widely on streaming platforms (market screenings, local events, showcases for student films do not count). Alternatively, you qualify with your participation in at least one high-quality drama series (3 or more episodes of at least 20 minutes length each) that was presented in festivals or broadcast on a TV channel or streaming platform. Additional experience as an actor (e.g. in theatre) is also taken into account.
You are eligible to apply if you have worked as a credited production designer on least two short films (all lengths, genres) or one feature length film (min. 60 minutes, all genres) that have been officially invited to film festivals or have been released theatrically or on streaming platforms (market screenings, local events, showcases for student films do not count). Alternatively, you also qualify if you have had a major role in the production of at least one high-quality series (3 or more episodes of at least 20 minutes length each) that was presented in festivals or broadcast on a TV channel or streaming platform.
You are eligible to apply if you have worked as a credited digital set designer (incl. VFX, CGI or XR artist) for the storyworlds of at least two short films (all lengths, genres, and forms) or one feature length film or form (min. 60 minutes, all genres, all techniques) that have been officially invited to film festivals or released theatrically or widely on streaming platforms (market screenings, local events, showcases for student films do not count). Alternatively, you also qualify if you have had a major role in the production of at least one high-quality series (3 or more episodes of at least 20 minutes length each) that was presented in festivals or broadcast on a TV channel or streaming platform.
You are eligible to apply if you professionally and regularly contribute reviews, essays or interviews to a print, audiovisual or online publication related to cinema and the film industry.
You are eligible to apply if you have professional experiences as an audience designer for at least two years, i.e. you have worked in a responsible position for example as a curator, programmer, founder, or creator, for a film festival, VOD platform, cinema or other space where films are screened and connected with audiences.
You are eligible to apply if you have had a leading role in the theatrical distribution of at least two feature length films (min. 60 minutes, fiction, documentary, hybrid) or the dissemination of short films or other cinematic and serial forms (all lengths, all genres) and have worked in this field professionally for at least two years.

Your sample of work can contain up to two separate scenes (either from the same film or two different films). In total the sample should be around 3 minutes long.
Your sample of work should be a continuous scene of up to 3 minutes.
Your sample must correspond to your main field of work. It should be in English or subtitled in English. Please only upload excerpts from the original film/s (no showreels, trailers or teasers). Please ensure that you are the copyright owner and/or have obtained the consent of any other copyright owner/s to use the material. We do not accept commercials.
In addition to your film sample, please upload a single PDF file (max. 5 pages, max. file size 5 MB) with comments, photos, screenshots or sketches of your design for the respective production(s). Please include a brief description of the context for each photo or sketch.
Please upload an excerpt from one of your feature-length screenplays or a complete screenplay for a short film, containing at least one dialogue scene and marking a significant turning point in the story. It can (but doesn't have to) be the written counterpart to the scene from your uploaded video sample. Altogether, please include the following information in English:

When attending as a film critic, you will automatically become part of Talent Press, a six-days workshop and networking opportunity alongside with the summit programme. When attending as a cinematographer, you will automatically become part of the Camera Studio, an intensive one-day workshop and networking opportunity during the Talents week.
