Fears of having coronavirus have sent people feeling sick to the internet to find if their symptoms are indeed those of COVID-19.
With conflicting information abounding, the Centers for Disease and Prevention has released a chart showing the major symptoms held by people in China, where the virus first surfaced.
Fever was the most common symptoms, held by nearly 100% of victims on Wuhan city, 80% of those in Hubei province and about 90% of those in China overall.
Next was cough, which about 60% of those in Wuhan reported. About 70% in China overall reported cough.
Next was muscle and joint pain, described as myalgia and arthralgia on the chart. About 40% of those in Wuhan reported such pain, while a little less than 20% of those in China overall reported muscle and joint pain.
Headache and diarrhea were reported by far fewer patients — 10% or fewer.
