Logging Into Your Account
Log in using your Facebook login information
  1. Go to facebook.com.
  2. Click Email or Phone Number and enter one of the following:
    • Email: You can log in with any email that's listed on your Facebook account.
    • Phone Number: If you have a mobile number confirmed on your account, you can enter it here (don't add any zeros before the country code, or any symbols).
    • Username: You can also log in with your username, if you set one up.
  3. Enter your password and click Log In.

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Click Log Out at the bottom of the menu that appears.

Resetting Your Password
Change Your Password in Accounts Center:
  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right, then click Settings and privacy.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Accounts Center, then click Password and security.
  4. Click Change password, then click the account you'd like to update.
  5. Enter your current password and new password.
  6. Click Change password.
Note: Not everyone will be able to access this setting in Accounts Center at this time.
If the steps above don't work for you, try the steps below.
Change Your Password
To change your password on Facebook if you're already logged in:
  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
  3. Click Security and Login.
  4. Click Edit next to Change password.
  5. Enter your current password and new password.
  6. Click Save Changes.
If you're logged in but have forgotten your password, follow the steps under Change Your Password then click Forgot your password? and follow the steps to reset it. Keep in mind that you'll need access to the email associated with your account.
Reset Your Password
To reset your password if you're not logged in to Facebook:
  1. Go to the Find Your Account Page.
  2. Type the email, mobile phone number, full name or username associated with your account, then click Search.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
For security reasons, you won’t be able to use the same mobile phone number that you use for two-factor authentication to help you reset your password. You’ll need to have a different mobile phone number or email address added to your account to reset your password if you ever need to.

We're not able to send you a copy of your password without resetting it.
If you're already logged in, you can change your password in your Settings.
If you're having trouble logging in or remembering your password, you can change it. Note that you'll need access to an email or mobile phone number associated with your Facebook account in order to successfully reset your password.
You can take steps to recover your account if you don't have access to the email or phone number associated with it.
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble logging into your Facebook account, here are some things you can try.
Recover your Facebook account using the Find Your Account page
  1. Go to the Find Your Account page at facebook.com/login/identify and follow the instructions. Make sure to use a computer or mobile phone that you have previously used to log into your Facebook account.
  2. Search for the account you want to recover. You can search for your account by name, email address, or phone number.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to reset the password for your account.

Recover your Facebook account from a friend's or family member’s account
  1. From a computer, go to the profile of the account you'd like to recover.
  2. Click more below the cover photo.
  3. Select Find support or report profile.
  4. Choose Something Else, then click Next.
  5. Click Recover this account and follow the steps.
Fix other login issues
Please check your email's spam or junk folder for the email with a password reset link.
In order to keep your account safe, we only let you request a new password a certain number of times each day. If you've reached this limit, you'll need to wait 24 hours before trying to reset your password again.
