Audience Member Espionage in the USSR. Based on a true story, none the less interesting. Why oh why were they being so careless and obviously suspicious? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The performances are really good and the staging is quite believable and impressive. The plot is really well done ... the only problem is that it is really far from the actual facts. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Taut and well made spy period thriller; a mood piece negotiating a large web of complications in an astute fashion--A Mind-Boggling True Story!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Fascinating largely-real-life episode, and a very well made film around it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Great spy thriller if you don't Mind reading subtitles. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member As a thriller, this wasn't such a much, but it's fascinating anyway because of Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning. It's the based on facts story of a Russian whistle-blower who, back in 1981, manages to expose the entire USSR intelligence operation, all the infiltrators into American, French and UK military planning. He acts because he thinks the Soviet system has to come to an end. It worked, he did bring down the 'evil empire' and what he got for it was a bullet in the head. Wat fate is store for our two much-needed whistleblowers? Why aren't Americans staunchly behind them? What's going on? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Philip French Guardian It is a richly intriguing tale about high intrigue, though at times a trifle uncertain... May 1, 2011 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian This is a satisfyingly sober thriller, almost melancholy in tone - and as morally complex as a John Le Carr novel. Rated: 3/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Alice Levick Little White Lies The tale of a truly fascinating but little-known espionage operation is told with panache and a dynamic central pairing.
