I stayed here for three days. Despite some rainy weather, the town's atmosphere was still worth experiencing. On sunny days, the beach is stunning, with fewer tourists compared to Bondi Beach, making it much more relaxing!

Absolutely love Surfers Paradise. So much to do! Take plenty of money with you! Go on the Jet boats! Wax Museum! Will definitely be back!

We visited during the off season and everything was absolutely lovely. The beach was not crowded and the water was decently warm for the season. We got to visit lots of shops and restaurants on the beach that were very nice.

This was my second visit to whitehaven beach and the unspoilt beauty still astounds me today. Best place to access the beach is from Hamilton resort, taking approximately 30 minutes via a leisurely and scenic sail. The silica sand casts an almost white luminous glow against the blue backdrop of the water, making this a stunning setting for photos and to simply relax. In the heart of the Great Barrier Reef this place is not to be missed. You can swim, sunbake, or if a little more adventurous take a hike to hill inlet or snorkel at chalkies beach. Keep a lookout for the dolphins, turtles and other marine life that surround the tropical waters along this coastline - an absolute piece of Australian paradise.

Great beach to have a walk, not sure about the swimming? With beware of Crocodile signs everywhere and huge amount of seaweed I think I will pass of the swim option.

Awesome experience. Just walk in from the beach to snorkel with all the tropical fish you can imagine plus rays, black tipped reef sharks also spotted. Drifting with the current. The most spectacular Turquiose water ever. One side for snorkelling and the other side of the point a calm bay for swimming & playing in the water. Great for kids,

the beach is amazing. there are huts around to enjoy your stay on hot summers with chilly winds and cool shade. beautiful clear water away and untouched from modern civilisation.

The Strand runs a few kilometers across the front of the city along beaches and at one end a seaside swimming pool and the marina at the other end.

Lots of thing to see and do in between.

We especially went to see the ANZAC Memorial.

We also took a walk through the parks and along the beach checking out the lifeguard stations.

There are heaps of hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars along the city side of the Strand.

    Something for everyone.

Amazing bustling market. Went four times in two weeks and enjoyed food, crafts, music, people......Surprising number of people who attend considering Darwin's relatively small population.

It truly is an idyllic setting with it's amazing colours that looking better than an pool colour we've ever seen. The people are amazing. They are genuinely happy and show it throughout the day.
We began meeting our tour guide Ally, who is a Aikutaki treasure, stopping along the tour route to give shoutouts to local residents. The boat trip throughout the 15 islands with numerous stoos along the way for swimming, snorkeling and a BBQ lunch onboard. The crew, guide and captain performed and entertained us playing ukelele, drums and singing along the trip.
This is truly the best day we had in the Cook Island's, a must do.

Visiting from the UK and a local recommended this beach for surfing, great beach spot, toilets and showers to hand too which make it’s convenient, free parking right on beach front and a few shops, coffee, ice cream etc around the area also. Lifeguards all around so felt safe whilst my son tired out surfing with his hired board.

Beautiful beach with easy access, an extensive boardwalk and safe surf along the entire beach. Many shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance along with various levels of accomodation.
You could be anywhere in the world and not find such a beautiful stretch of sand. Three hour parking next to the surf club is handy if you are patient enough to wait for a spot.
Only 1/2 hour drive from Maroochydore and well worth the trip.

Love the Lagoon, i think every city should have one, if it could work in bigger city's,
Went swimming after dinner one night no crowds, just beautiful in,
well patrolled, and the water is slightly warm, which is nice when the heat of the sun has gone for the day
great place during the day large spaces for you to relax, get hot and then go for a swim, eating places in front and then easy access to main shopping strip
