i'm pretty excited for into the radius 2 myself. part of it is that i got a buddy who said he'd totally be down to play with me once we both get a copy, but i'm also excited to have itr with good graphics (and hopefully good optimization). imo, the graphics in a game like itr matters a lot since you are oftentimes on a mission with a lot of travel, and in those cases a pretty scene to admire is really nice to have.
i'm also looking forward for blade and sorcery 1.0, but that's more so just a full release than a game coming out.
I couldn't agree more. ITR was already a cool looking game with great atmosphere. Looks like they're improving it even further with the sequel.
This game gonna come out late 2025...
But it will have a early access version.
ITR 2, Behemoth and Metro are gonna be so good!
I think I'm most excited for Radius 2. Still wait8ng on gameplay for Alien, though.
Behemoth could be goty i think.
How do you know Behemoth will be good? There are zero gameplay demos, just pre-rendered videos.
Its skydance, I have confidence.
This and the fact that S&S Retribution was left as buggy as it is tells me people should really be tempering expectations a lot more
Hopium is a hell of a drug!
The studio behind Behemoth has a good reputation in VR community so we hope for the best
When Messi steps up to take a free kick there are different expectations than when Ronaldo does 😊
Wanderer remake AND Wanderer 2... Pirate shanty teaser gave me goosebumps
Was Wanderer 2 announced??
Yeah man. Last Wanderer Fragments of Fate trailer, last 10 seconds. Wanderer 2: The Seas of Fortune. Setting is Jamaica 1750.
Sick! I don’t know how I missed that lol
Homeworld is coming out in a couple of days so that'll probably be the next purchase if I don't get arcade paradise VR before it.
Geronimo VR
I get strong Onward vibes from that one. You think it will be similar?
It looks like a VR version of ground branch. So definitely an onward vibe but I’m hoping it will be a lot more realistic
Mudrunner, wish it was pc though
Wow had no idea this was a thing. I love SpinTires/Mudrunners but looking at that quest trailer... Yeesh.
Yeh it looks like a great concept with ps3 graphics
Holy shit I haven't heard about Attack on Titan! I'm all hyped now 🤯
I guess I'll be a negative nancy here and say that for some of these games we've seen nothing but prerendered trailers (aka not gameplay, not in engine). Heck for some of them not even THAT, Alien's teaser is just a glorified logo.
So if you MUST hype yourself up, hype with caution.
Of course! I'm excited for the potential more than how I think the finished product will be.
yeah i got pumped at OPs list then saw those and thats an immediate red flag for me when i saw those trailers
You already listed a lot of the big ones here are a few more games I'm looking forward to though not all are listed for release this year:
The Burst - 2024 - Made by my favourite Stalkers ;) - game is an action shooter, played the Demo and loved the fast-paced shooting and grapple mechanics has a fun Max Max/ Rage style look and setting to it.
GERONIMO - TBA - a tactical CQB shooter. One of my favourite subgenres that I think we havent gotten enough of in VR yet.
Into The Darkness VR - TBA - played the demo felt like a better Boneworks sort of physics based shooter/melee combat with a story.
STRIDE: Fates - Already out on Quest but out soon on PCVR- 16 May, 2024 - Mirrors Edge VR style game
Warp Lab - TBA - Portal Based Shooter
Taskmaster VR - 2024 - Based on the TV Comedy Show, looks interesting
Slink & Snatch: Tales of Thievery - TBA - reminds me a lot of Sly Cooper
COLD VR - TBA - Reverse SuperHot
Sushi Ben - 2024 - A Japanese Themed Narrative Adventure game. I enjoyed the Demo
Rusty's Day Off - Q4 2024 - Fast Paced Acton shooter.
Z.O.N.A: Origin - 2024 - Stalker Inspired game fantastic looking graphics first game was really good.
Outta Hand - 2024 - Out already on Quest but new to PCVR fun Platformer
Zombie Army VR - TBA - Made by XR Games so might be a mixed bag but I think it looks fun
Max Mustard - TBA - Out already on Quest but New to PCVR looks like a fun third person platformer
Homeworld: Vast Reaches - 2024 - Not a huge Homeworld fan prior but like bigger IP's coming to VR
Astro Hunters VR - Q3 2024 - Supposed to be an open-world VR action sci-fi game looks fun.
Wicked Game - TBA - Looks to be a fun physics based action shooter.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate - 27 Jun, 2024 - a remake/expansion of their original game
Troll Hunter VR - TBA - Made by CM Games who made Into the Radius VR
Frenzy Blood - 2024 - not a ton of info but screenshots look nice.
Underworld Overseer - Q4 2024 - Looks to be a Dungeon keeper type game, interesting art style
Tomb Explorer VR - TBA - Played the demo a pretty fun physical platformer adventure game
StellarPlans - TBA - saw this on Reddit a few days ago looks like a pretty cool survival shooter
A Long Survive - 2024 - looks to be a Co-op Sci-fi shooter game
Temporal Riff - TBA - Dev has been silent for a while but I love how weird this game looks
Pool of Madness - 2024 - Another odd ball game Lovecraft Pool horror.
Broken Reality 2000 - Q4 2024 - Love the aesthetic.
Soul of Kaeru - TBA - Third person Frog Ninja Metroidvania style game
There's a few there that I haven't heard of and will check out. Thanks :)
Blade and Sorcery full release!!! No game has given me the absolute thrill that Blade and Sorcery has. The only limit is your imagination on what's possible in that game. I can't wait to see how they approach the progression mode and skill tree in their 1.0 release later this year!
I've recently got into modding B&S to become a full on samurai. Modded armour, weapons, enemies, maps, weapon slots and blood effects make it almost perfect. Nothing else has felt as satisfying for VR melee. The one thing I think is missing is the structure you get from a campaign so can't wait for 1.0. Even better if it's designed to allow people to create custom campaigns with ease.
Yessss! With the Quest Framework mod, it should be possible to create more custom campaigns. I seriously see that imagination is the limit when it comes to what's possible in B&S after the 1.0 update releases.
yeah it’s so mich fun, perfect game for vr
ALIENS FOR SURE
Let’s rock!!!!!!
Yessss
F1 2024
Homeworld: Vast Reaches
Metro Awakening
Gunman Contractors
Alien: Rogue Incursion
Definitely Brazen Blaze of the most recent upcoming ones, I like the concept of the 3v3 fighter and how it will work out. It's in open beta rn too, though I haven't tried it yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM7npaNOIrg
Alien: Rogue Incursion
Metro awakening
Radius 2
Madison VR
Batman: Arkham Shadow
Attack on Titan
The Aliens (now an Alien?) game, System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition VR, maybe Behemoth?
Can' wait for Behemoth, Alien and Subside!!!
There's quite alot of AAA titles there! At least Behemoth, Metro and Alien
Lots of good ones listed. My most anticipated is Zombie Army. Loved this flat game so really looking forward to the VR version.
Geronimo
Madison, zombie army, wanderer, arken age, aces of thunder, metro, metro, aliens, behemoth
ITR2, Wanderer, Riven, Madison, Praydog's RE4 mod.
I would also be excited about Aliens and Metro but they're going to be quest ports which means they'll be dumbed down and look bad.
New walkabout mini golf courses
New walkabout mini golf courses
super excited to revisit Riven in VR
Zombie Army VR. Love me a good co-op shooter.
looking forward to ultimate swing golf
Ooo. I've not heard of that one. Definitely going to check it out. I love VR golf. My favorite was The Golf Club VR. Haven't seen a good one since beside Walkabout.
oh yeah it's by the people that makes everybody's golf on PlayStation
I just took a screen shot of your list. They all seem great.
If you haven't played Wanderer yet, put that on your list. It's excellent, but I probably won't get it again when the remaster comes out having already played the old version.
I saw the trailer looks intriguing.
LMU
Two things that won't happen
Horizon Call of the Mountain on PC
Dreams (ps4/ps5) on PC :,)
after i finish up red matter 2 I'm going to mod portal 2, then forgotten city then satisfactory when that hits 1.0. UEVR injector mod got me more excited for older good flatscreen games I never got to in VR vs new VR releases. I just finished up subnautica, outer wilds and skyrim. Been a great year so far.
The new stride game!
I thought that was already out
FS2024
Smalland in 2 days
This one looks decent. I just picked up Grounded for UEVR a few days ago. I'll most likely play that for a while and pick up Smalland a little later :)
The Mighty 8th (PCVR) https://store.steampowered.com/app/1325580/The_Mighty_Eighth_VR/
Ever since watching Masters of the Air I'm looking forward to getting inside a B-17 for some flying, shooting and bombing. News is kind of quiet but there was an update in January so hopefully it's still happening.
Currently playing Brazen Blaze, so I don't feel fair mentioning it but... it's just the open beta and I been enjoying my time so far. So looking forward to the full release, I guess
I just found out about that one recently. I should definitely add to my list. Looks cool!
Returnal on PsVR2. Hopefully announced on April 30 (and not a comic book)!
That one is hard in VR. I've played it both 1st and 3rd person. I'm not usually a fan of rogue likes, but this one was like a bullet hell.
They're all made by blood thirsty 15 year olds... why bother
Huh?
