  • Security and Login: Change your password, and turn on alerts and approvals to keep your account secure.
  • Privacy: Adjust who can see things like who can see your future posts and who can look you up.
  • Profile and Tagging: Set who can see things on your timeline and who can see things you're tagged in.
  • Blocking: Manage who and what you block.
  • Language and Region: Select things like the language and date format that you want to use for Facebook.
If you don't have a Facebook account, you can opt out of receiving emails from Facebook by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Email notifications are Facebook updates that you receive via email.
To adjust your email notifications from Facebook:
  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
  3. Click Notifications on the left.

  5. From here, you can adjust how often you receive email notifications and what you get email notifications about.
If you have more than one email linked to your account, we'll send notifications to the email you choose as your primary email in your General Account Settings. If your primary email stops receiving emails, we'll send notifications to your secondary email address. If you don't have a secondary email or have turned off notifications entirely, you'll stop receiving email notifications.
Note: If the notification is from an app outside of Facebook, you can always block the app.
When you create a Facebook account, Facebook appears in the same language as the one you choose in your device's language settings. We also match how we show dates, time and numbers to your language region.
You can change your Language and Region settings to see things like buttons, notifications, most text and tooltips in a different language and format.
Note: Region settings are only available on your computer at this time.

  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. Click Language and Region in the left column. From here, you can:

      2. Click Save Changes.
    • Change the temperature to Fahrenheit or Celsius.
      1. Click Temperature and select a temperature.

Deactivating & Deleting Your Account

  • We delay deletion a few days after it's requested. A deletion request is cancelled if you log back into your Facebook account during this time.
