Xbox has finally revealed what they’ll be showing at this year’s Gamescom – and while it’s an extensive list, there are a few notable omissions. Namely Fable. 4

Yes, if this latest list from Xbox is anything to go by, we will be waiting a little bit longer before we see any hint of a new Fable game.

It’s a crying shame. We actually put it down as one of our most anticipated (albeit unlikely) games we’d want to see at Gamescom 2022.

All hope is not lost, however. Xbox confirmed we’ll see some Flight Simulator news, Sea of Thieves and some playable codes in the form of A Plague Tale: Requiem and Gunfire Reborn.

Here’s the full list of games Xbox will be showing off later this month, which can also be found on the official blog.

  • Pentiment  (Obsidian Entertainment / Xbox Game Studios)
  • Age of Empires IV  (Relic Entertainment & World’s Edge / Xbox Game Studios)
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator  (Asobo Studio / Xbox Game Studios Publishing)
  • Sea of Thieves  (Rare Games / Xbox Game Studios)
  • Grounded (Obsidian Entertainment / Xbox Game Studios)

We will be celebrating some of our third-party partners too, with playable titles on the booth including: 

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem (Asobo Studio / Focus Entertainment)
  • Disney Dreamlight Valley (Gameloft)
  • Gunfire Reborn (Duoyi Games / 505 Games)
  • Inkulinati (Yaza Games / Daedalic Entertainment)
  • Last Case of Benedict Fox (Plot Twist Games / Rogue Games)
  • Lies of P (Neowiz)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Frame Break)
  • Planet of Lana (Wishfully / Thunderful)
  • You Suck at Parking (Happy Volcano)

Gamescom 2022 will emanate from the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany from Tuesday, August 23 through to Sunday August 28.
