Netflix's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile (Ted Bundy)
Netflix's film, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, covers the story of Ted Bundy from the perspective and experiences of his girlfriend, Liz. Ted Bundy admitted to the murders of 30 individuals but the number is believed to be much higher. Bundy is known for being one of the most famous serial killers. The film stars Zac Efron, Lily Collins, Jim Parsons, Kaya Scodelario, John Malkovich, and Haley Joel Osment.
My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The film's runtime is 110 minutes and it is Rated R for disturbing/violent content, some sexuality, nudity and language. I always recommend watching the film prior to showing it to make sure it is okay for your students to watch. NOTE- I have included on the answer key the general times for any scenes you might need to remove or fast forward through. I have also included what happens in that scene so you know what to remove/skip.

Episode 2: One of Us, focuses on a Ted Bundy and his next string of murders that occur in Utah and Colorado. It does look into some of the early crimes committed in Washington with the disappearance of several young women and build off of what it discussed in Episode 1. One psychologist also shares about some pieces from Bundy's childhood that shaped who he was as an adult. There are 35 questions on this worksheet and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The runtime is 57 minutes and it is rated TV-MA on Netflix. WARNING: It discusses his issue with pornography as a young boy and it does show a couple of nude pictures and suggestive pictures in rapid order. You could easily skip this part in the film. I would recommend viewing before showing to students.
Episode 3: Not My Turn to Watch Him looks at Ted Bundy's life after arrest and then his multiple escapes. This story focuses on how after his second escape he made he way to Florida and committed the Florida State University murders as well as a couple of other attacks. It is also where we see a bit of Bundy begin to lose control. There are 30 questions on this worksheet and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. Episode 4: Burn Bundy Burn examines Ted Bundy's life on trial and death row. It ultimately covers his final confession-filled days and execution.
