Tik Tok star Addison Rae has signed a deal with Netflix for multiple films on the streaming platform.

Rae has more than 83.3 million TikTok followers but told Variety last month that she's always wanted to be an actor.

She recently made her acting debut in Netflix's He's All That, and the success of the film has led to this new multi-picture deal.

Netflix's Director of Family Film Naketha Mattocks said: "Addison Rae's charm and promise is undeniable as evidenced by He's All That and her already passionate fan base. We're thrilled to be part of this next phase of her burgeoning career as an actress."

The film was a gender-swapped remake of the 1999 romantic comedy She's All That, starring Rachel Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr. Rae plays a social media influencer who tries to transform an outcast (Tanner Buchanan) into a prom king but accidentally falls in love with him along the way.

According to Netflix, more than 55 million households watched the film within the first month of release, reaching number one on the platform in 78 countries.

Rae said of the deal: "Getting the opportunity to work with Netflix was such a 'pinch-me' moment and now to be able to continue the relationship is beyond my wildest dreams. I'm thrilled to be able to collaborate with this incredible team and am excited to develop projects while continuing to strengthen my skills as an actress."

Rae is the third most popular star on Tik Tok and released her first single Obsessed in March at just 20 years old. She was also nominated at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards for the breakthrough social star award.

He's All That producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay praised her talent and work ethic, saying "she did the work" by auditioning twice for the film, once over Zoom and then once more in person.

Though He's All That premiered to mixed reviews, it was still extremely popular and has launched Rae's career as an actress. In a recent interview with Variety, she said: "It's definitely gonna be hard to prove to people how passionate and how much love I have for acting. There's a lot of weight that comes on with that but it's something that I'm willing to take on and show people that this is truly who I am and what I love to do."

He's All That is available to stream on Netflix now.
