The Belmonts have been doing more than vampire slaying I guess

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has one of the largest and arguably best fighting game rosters of all time, which has led it to become the best selling in the genre ever, so it's only fitting the title would receive the biggest tier list in history as well.

The creators of the website Ultimate Game Data have reportedly logged data for over 2 million matches of online Smash Ultimate that's been used to create the "ultimate" Wi-Fi tier list based on character wins.

What will likely come as a surprise to many who have been following Ultimate since release is the top placer with the best win rate being none other than Richter Belmont, who currently has a 58.4 percent advantage.

The number two position is much more in line with expectations considering Snake is less than one percent behind though his stats are technically more impressive since he's been played in over 80,000 more matches compared to Richter.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Marth, Sheik and Lucina make up the bottom three while Joker, typically considered one of the top tiers in Ultimate, is actually fourth worst with his win rate of only 41.7 percent.

As alluded to up above, wins by themselves don't tell the whole story here, as Palutena and Ness have the most victories by volume while Joker, Wolf and Cloud currently hold the achievements of having the most losses — the Persona 5 protagonist has reportedly lost over 72,000 tournament matches alone.

These statistics have allegedly been pulled directly from online tournament data from events on Smash.gg which covers a wide range of regions and dates to try and get a fuller picture.

The Ultimate Game Data website itself also has more handy tools for players since they cover character win rates based on stages and individual character match ups.

You can also take things a step further and see how character match ups have shaken out depending on the stages chosen too.

A proper tier list for the Wi-Fi win rates was recently created by T-Rex-Chess which you can check out below though we do have to note that it was made when the site had only 1.8 million matches logged. There are only very slight variations to where they sit right now, however.
