We've got three major topics for this week's episode of the EventHubs Podcast, the first of which delves into Capcom's fancy new Street Fighter 5 netcode update.

Such changes have been heavily requested by fans for a long while now, but what exactly are the resulting effects of Tuesday evening's patch? Catalyst and I break down our experiences playing as well as examine the patch notes to see where we can shed light.

One notable takeaway from the notes actually has us considering the possibility that things may be smoother for PlayStation 4 SF5 users with this update in place. We also try to articulate (given relatively limited detail from Capcom) what kinds of changes we should be on the lookout for.

Our second subject also revolves around Street Fighter 5, but instead of inspecting its present, we look into its future. Season 5 is just a few months away from kicking off and in examining some of the leads and discussions developers have been bringing up, we're speculating that the game could change quite a lot.

Instead of playing catch up, devs have more so found their groove with the game and thus can begin to look at how to further strengthen the experience. We take a look over some similar evolutions in SF5's past, and consider what we'd like to see in the winter time.

The last subject has us talking about Mortal Kombat's Mileena and her very adamant fan base. How did this character become so popular in such a powerful way? We look to the realm of psychology to find some answers and find that Mileena might actually be so beloved because she fulfills something of a maternal role for people (albeit in a very creepy way).
