Moves for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath
Tiers for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath

Some say that the 9.0.0 balance adjustments for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are the worst in the game's history but are they really that bad?

Minecraft's Steve, Alex, Zombie and Enderman are now playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as part of the Challenger Pack 7. To make them available to use, Nintendo released patch 9.0.0 which also introduced some balance adjustments to the game's roster of characters. We've already provided an analysis on the takeaways from the 9.0.0 patch earlier.

The only character that received any sort of nerf was Shulk. The 9.0.0 version update made it so that he receives slightly more knockback while Shield Monado is active. However, it seems that many players within the Smash community have problems with some of the characters that received buffs.

Ultra Instinct Goku player infuriates Frieza user with the smoothest dodge and gnarliest follow up

We recently ran a poll asking readers which characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ are most frustrating to fight against, and while that title has certainly bounced around the roster in the last few years, it's currently and undisputedly held by Ultra Instinct Goku.

Those hoping for an example of how rough facing off with UI Goku can be need look no further than a recent clip posted by Wild_wolf28, which not only features a merciless beat down, but also one of the smoothest (and therefore frustrating) means of opening an opponent up.

Twitch streamers are once again facing potential legal repercussions as a slew of new DMCA warning notices have been sent out requiring those who have used copyrighted music while streaming to go back and scrub their archives.

929 damage in a single Street Fighter 5 combo seems impossible, but an Abigail user has figured out how to do it

Earlier this month we shared a Street Fighter 5 combo clip in which a player by the name of Slaynman was able to legitimately lop off an astounding 904 damage in a single go, but the ante has been upped.

Slaynman has actually broken his own record here and figured out a way to score a whopping 929 damage, but it requires a good bit of specific set up to actually bring to fruition.

The Panda Global crew play the arcade mode of HiFight's 'FOOTSIES' and run into a strangely familiar foe as the final boss

Interestingly enough, FOOTSIES even has an arcade mode that consists of six matches that seemingly teach you important fighting game fundamentals along the way. Recently, Panda Global uploaded a hilarious compilation of PG|Punk, PG|Justin Wong and PG|Kizzie Kay going through the arcade mode.

Steve's ability to refresh ledge invincibility might end up being a massive problem for the competitive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate scene

One of the main contributors to Meta Knight's top tier status in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is his ability to ledge plank near endlessly to stall matches out once he gains a lead in damage. This has resulted in tournament rulings that prohibited players from re-snapping the ledge too often (35-50 times). Notably, this has been turning into a problem in Super Smash Bros. Melee too with regards to Jigglypuff since both Melee and Brawl will refresh invincibility upon snapping the ledge.

Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate incorporated a rather simple solution that was seemingly in direct response to the ledge stalling metagame in Brawl. A character won't regain invincibility if they regrab the ledge without taking a hit or touching the ground first. Minecraft Steve's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate might cause a problem with this solution thanks to his neutral special.

Rain's newly revealed Mortal Kombat 11 Brutality is an homage to his infinite combo in Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Ed Boon and his team seem to be up to their usual cheeky antics as it seems NetherRealm Studios has payed homage (as they tend to do) to an old infinite combo from the Mortal Kombat Trilogy days with the latest sneak peek at Rain, Mortal Kombat 11's next DLC character.

The purple prince is known for a handful of trademark moves, most of which concern the weather in way or another. He was also given a somewhat curious roundhouse kick that sends the opponent all the way around the world and sees them reappear on the other side of the screen. This was ridiculous not only because of the optics, but also because it made for an easy infinite combo back in the day, and has returned as Brutality in MK11.

There's more to Rambo than just guns, here are a few moves that we can probably expect from the war veteran in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

Along with Mileena and Rain, it was announced that Rambo would be joining via Kombat Pack 2 when Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is released on November 17, 2020. Although we haven't had an opportunity to see Rambo in action during gameplay, it's expected that a lot of his moves will revolve around the usage of firearms.

However, there's more to Rambo than just being "yet another gun character" in Mortal Kombat 11. Let's consider some possibilities outside of gun gameplay for Rambo.

Cagliostro is slated to be released as a playable character in Granblue Fantasy: Versus on October 20, 2020. Like every other character release for any fighting game, this requires a patch to make the character available.

As such, patch notes for version 2.11 of Granblue Fantasy: Versus have been unveiled. Most of the adjustments are intended to be fixes rather than balance changes.

Tekken 7 has a fairly large roster with 49 different characters. Although many of them bring unique qualities to the game, some characters will inevitably share similarities.

Zangana recently uploaded a video that provides side-by-side comparisons of Jack-7 and Ganryu's attacks in Tekken 7.

Someone actually landed Zangief's rare counter special move in a real Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition match

Zangief received a new special move back in Season 2.5 of Street Fighter 5 that saw him gain the ability to counter normal attacks. This particular counter, however, only works on certain horizontally-angled kicks, making practical usage of it very difficult and seldom seen in competitive play.

I can't recall a single time I've ever seen Tundra Storm, Zangief's counter, in an actual match, but this Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition clip from the recent MySecondMain event changes all that. Thanks to HiFight, we get to see the rare attack actually used as a result of a great read.
