Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate celebrates Rambo's inclusion with this awesome mock up movie poster, Ed Boon ponders other Stallone characters for the game

In classic NetherRealm Studios fashion, the Mortal Kombat developers shocked and excited the world by announcing that none other than John Rambo would be joining Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate as a playable guest character. With a bigtime action movie star, it's only logical to roll out the red carpet for Stallone — who is actually voicing the character in-game — and share a ton of content leading up to the character's release.

NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon recently took to Twitter to share an awesome mock up movie poster for Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate. In another tweet showcasing Rambo's gear in the game, Boon also pondered on other major Stallone characters for Mortal Kombat 11.

Here's a spooky little Darkstalkers Easter egg to enjoy as you wait for Halloween tomorrow

Demitri's Midnight Bliss special move in the Darkstalkers series is one that sees his opponent transform into a young female version of themselves when it hits. Each fighter turns into something different, whether it be a nurse or a mermaid, and with moves like this there's always an interest from fans to see all of the possible variations of it.

In the Japan-only Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire, sub boss character Huitzil (or Phobos, as he's known overseas) actually has two different transformations. This cool little Easter egg was shared by ohfivepro, and it's the perfect spooky "did ya know?" fact on the day before Halloween.

Rambo's bug eating move that replenishes health has a Krushing Blow that ironically doesn't harm the opponent in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

The Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Rambo Kombat Kast revealed a lot of details about the war veteran's moveset. Unsurprisingly, Rambo is quite handy when it comes to wielding a knife in combat.

At one point, it was demonstrated that Rambo will have access to a rather unique move. According to NetherRealm Studios, this technique isn't a "normal move" which implies that it's not part of Rambo's base moveset.

Street Fighter 5 doesn't have parallel story endings like previous titles, which allowed developers to take some liberties with Gill's role

Street Fighter 5 got its arcade mode just under two years after release, but unlike most every other title in the franchise, things were very different when it came to presenting character stories as instead of giving each fighter a prologue as if he or she was ultimate winner of the tournament, everyone got a prelude instead.

This departure from the norm flew a bit under the radar with many of us, probably because of the game's turbulent beginnings that lacked both an arcade and story mode, but was brought up by Director, Takayuki Nakayama, during a recent interview with SPIN.

Rambo spouts off a familiar quote after performing his gruesome knife Brutality in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

We got the beginnings of one of Rambo's Brutalities last week when NetherRealm Studios dropped one of his character trailers, but this week's Kombat Kast was all about the Vietnam veteran and gave us a full look at this gnarly kill sequence.

It's safe to say there was a good bit more to this ender than our first look revealed, as not only does Rambo go above and beyond to ensure his opponent's life is conclusively over, he also spouts off a trademark catchphrase from 2008's Rambo film. Also, NSFW gore ahead.

Smug lands one of the most galaxy brain command grabs ever in the middle of an incredible Street Fighter 5 tournament set

There's a decent chance you've seen highlights or have had some League Points taken away by NightMareEffecT, one of the absolute best Street Fighter 5 players in Louisiana and a damn good Balrog main. There's an even better chance you know RISE|Smug, one of America's SF5 top competitors and arguably our most notable stream personality.

What you may have missed is the Louisiana online event (put on by Beatdown LA) that took place over the weekend wherein these two wound up clashing in exchanges that not only yielded one of the most ridiculous G command grabs we've ever seen, but wound up being some top tier Street Fighter entertainment, through and through.

Were fans too quick to pass judgement on Judgment the Castelvania fighting game?

Simon and Richter Belmonts' appearance in 2018's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was actually not the first time we saw characters from the Castlevania in a fighting game setting as more avid fans will recall a Wii exclusive title from back in 2008 that featured a roster filled only with figures from the iconic platformer franchise.

Castelvania Judgment is the subject of Top Hat Gaming Man's latest historical fighting game deep dive as he recounts the story of this relatively panned 3D fighter and questions whether fans gave it a fair shot or not.

This man turned a pumpkin into a working arcade stick, plays Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition

A very creative streamer who goes by the handle of G-P has successfully brought to fruition one of the most creative arcade fight sticks we've seen yet.

G-P, who has been known to create such devices out of peculiar objects, recently promised his viewers that if he were to gain enough followers on his Twitch channel he'd spend a session attempting to create and play on a controller made out of a hollowed out pumpkin. The goal was met, and he stayed true to his word.

Three ways to potentially fix Super Dashes in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Super Dashes remain Dragon Ball FighterZ's most divisive mechanic three years in, and even Bandai Namco's recent poll on the matter showed that most of the 33,000 people that voted do not like them as they are now.

Cleary, the advice of get good and 2H them on reaction isn't exactly holding up — especially at a time when the vast majority of the matches are being played online — but what routes could Bandai Namco and Arc System Works try in the future to help fix some of the frustrations Super Dashes can bring?
