There's just two more weeks until Akuma finally takes the stage in Street Fighter 6, and a lot of new details and information about the demon are hitting the scene already.
Capcom just released a new set of high-resolution screenshots showcasing Akuma's Outfit 2 option in SF6, providing players who may prefer his classic attire a much better look at what will be available.
How disastrous things would be if Twitter was put in charge of Street Fighter 6's balance patch
May 22 is slated to be a big day for Street Fighter 6 fans. Not only is Akuma being released as the final Season 1 DLC fighter, but the biggest balance patch the game has seen so far will also be available.
It's probably for the best that Capcom doesn't listen to communities on Twitter in regards to every balance adjustment. Regardless, Mikey D. recently posted an amusing video that showcases what kind of patch we would have to expect if Capcom did leave Twitter in charge of a patch in Street Fighter 6.

Akuma and the Season 2 balance patch are slated for release on May 22. Though it's suspected that Akuma will be top tier by default despite having the worst vitality, fans have been pondering on how Akuma will mesh with Street Fighter 6's mechanics.
Back when we were relying on player reports about Akuma from the "Real Battle Hub" event during the first week of May, we heard how Rohto|Tokido was pulling off a terrifying Drive Rush into Raging Demon combination against opponents. Recently, it was showcased how Blanka can actually reliable KO an opponent from just two openings, with the first cancelling into Lightning Beast. With the first opening, it's very easy to get the opponent into the corner with a Blanka-chan doll primed for a particularly nasty setup.

The next DLC character (who drops on May 22) faces off against Dee Jay, himself and Manon in the video. It may be a level 7 computer controlling Akuma, but we still get to see plenty of interesting facets of his gameplay that further our early understanding of how he'll play here in SF6.
Ed falls from top ranks, but how far? Street Fighter 6 April popularity stats
Relative to the two DLC characters before him, Ed made quite the splash when he dropped into Street Fighter 6 back at the end of February. When we finally got the popularity statistics for his first full month of March, the newcomer had shot to the top of the charts at almost every level of play.
The numbers for April are in, however, and with Ed seeming to be one of the weaker characters on the SF6 roster, it's not too surprising to find that he's no longer appreciating new kid levels of popularity.
Brand new one-hit kill fighting game Die by the Blade releases next week
A new weapon-based fighting game is coming to PC as Grindstone, Triple Hill Interactive and Toko Midori Games are preparing to launch Die by the Blade on May 16 (headed to consoles later this year).
The one on one experience allows you to select a character as well as a weapon to go into battle wherein superior positioning and parrying are the only things standing between you and a very swift death, because in Die by the Blade, a single strike is all it takes to win or lose.

We recently took notice of HelloMissLadyy's Cammy cosplay. On her Instagram page, she takes on a number of different poses and fighting stances that really show off the curves of the costume.

Fan recreates Mortal Kombat 1's character select screen in the Deadly Alliance style which impresses even Ed Boon
There are plenty of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance references contained within Mortal Kombat 1. However, it seems that one fan, The POor guy, has taken things a step further, which has caught the attention of Mortal Kombat cocreator Ed Boon.
The POor guy has recreated Mortal Kombat 1's character select screen in the style of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Of course, it should be noted that only the characters from Deadly Alliance are featured on the recreation, so Liu Kang's absence is easily noticed.

Last night a ton of new information about Street Fighter 6's upcoming DLC character, Akuma, as well as the new Season 2 balance changes flooded the internet. On top of all of the new Akuma footage, a handful of select Season 2 balance changes were showcased — including the new wake up Drive Reversal option. We have now gotten our first look at the new variation of the staple mechanic, and this encompasses how it actually works, as well as some of the new benefits the mechanic has as a whole.
The Joker's official MultiVersus gameplay trailer release time and date confirmed
The Joker, arguably Batman's most iconic villain and rival, is joining the playable cast of the upcoming platform fighter, MultiVersus.
