Valor Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –
Head women's volleyball coach Mary Whitehead announced a 32-game schedule for her twenty-fifth season leading the Valor in the 2024 season.

The 2024 schedule includes 12 home games and at least six matchups against NAIA schools that were top-25 or receiving votes to end the previous season.

Evangel kicks off its schedule with four tournaments they will take part in. The Valor begin in Chickasha, Oklahoma for the USAO Tournament where they'll take on four teams to be announced at a later date on August 23rd and 24th. The Valor conclude the month of August by competing just south of Springfield in the CofO Classic against four teams to be announced at a later date on August 30th and 31st.

Evangel opens home play on September 3rd, taking on the Stephens College Stars at 7:00 p.m., before hosting their annual Evangel Quad. Evangel will take on the Friends Falcons on September 6th at 2:30 p.m., followed by a match with Briar Cliff at 7:00 p.m. the same day. The Valor conclude the Quad by taking on the College of Saint Mary at 11:30 a.m. the following day (Sept. 7). Evangel will then take part in the UHSP Classic on September 13th and 14th, taking on Freed-Hardeman at 12:30 p.m. and Cottey at 2:30 p.m., before concluding the classic by taking on Brescia at 10:30 a.m. and Missouri Baptist at 2:30 p.m. in St. Louis, Missouri. Evangel hits the road to take on the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 17th, before hosting the Columbia College Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 19th. The Valor conclude the month of September by traveling to take on the Tabor Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 25th, followed by a home contest against the Bethany Swedes at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 28th.

October kicks off at home against longtime rival College of the Ozarks on Oct. 2nd at 7:00 p.m., before traveling for a road game against Saint Mary (Oct. 9) at 7:00 p.m. The Valor return home to take on Bethel (Oct. 12) and Oklahoma Wesleyan (Oct. 16). A pair of road games follows the brief home stand, traveling to McPherson (Oct. 19) and Southwestern (Oct. 23). EU hosts Sterling on Oct. 26th and Ottawa on Oct. 30th to conclude the month.

The Valor open the month of November with a pair of road games, taking on York (Nov. 2) and Avila (Nov. 6), before hosting the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes for their regular season finale on Nov. 9th.
