I LOVE THIS!! My neighbors, and even the mailman, commented on this mailbox, said "he loves it"! Easy 2 screw installation. I recommend 2 long, 3" screws to get through the siding and into the house. Screws don't come with it. It arrived fast, and really looks nice on my house, adding a "European flare," which everyone notices, and compliments me on. Holds a lot of those magazines, and lots of mail, that no normal sized mailbox could hold. Made well, I expect this to out last the others, that I've had, from the "big box" stores, because it's painted well and won't rust as the brass ones did.. It's so pretty, I'd recommend it to everyone to hold all of those items a regular mailbox can't hold.I already know 2 people who want this on their homes.

It is not mounted under a porch or awning and very little water drips in. I think the amount of water that comes in is acceptable for our conditions. When it does, it's through the mounting holes in the back so we'll put a little silicone over holes. It can be used without the newspaper holder. It fits most anything we receive I'm the regular mail. It has a nice flat portion under the word Post to add house numbers if desired. It looks very nice and unique. I'm thoroughly pleased to have found this mailbox and a nice price!

I am making cosmetic updates to my house and I finally got around to the this mailbox. My fault, I should have opened this when it arrived because I would have returned it. The pitiful 2 tabs this box uses as hinges were totally too small. One hinge's eyelet was popped out and broken. Very disappointed. I will have to look locally.

Pros: Nice color, great style. Roomy enough for a generous amount of mail.

Cons:

1.Not waterproof. We had a decent rain the other day (but not a huge storm) and our mail was totally, *completely* soaked. This mailbox is only usable if you mount it far away from the elements, like on a deep front porch.

2. Paint already seems to be fading, and we've only had it up a few weeks.

3. The holes in the magazine rack were odd...one of them lined up just fine, but the other one was off. My husband had to drill a new hole in order to mount it.

The wet mail was the dealbreaker...we're on the hunt for a new mailbox.

I really like this. The price was more reasonable than flimsier boxes at big name hardware stores. It's not gonna hold up if you take a bat to it or leave it in constant wet weather, probably, but if you live in southern California, it's a great affordable and stylish mailbox. I wanted the red one to go with our red front door, and it looks perfect. It's sturdier than most mailboxes I've had. I don't know what kind of hulking monster mailboxes the reviewers who were disappointed in the sturdiness of this box are accustomed to, but I think it's a great box that's worth the price.

i was specifically looking for a red mailbox to match the trim on my new house; this one is powder coated in fire engine red. it took a fairly long time to get it; however, shipping was supposed to take around 8 weeks, i got it in a little over 5. large size with plenty of vertical room for magazines, and lid opens wide so it's easy to grab mail at the bottom. 2 newspaper brackets included, which were a little challenging to mount (screw holes are tight, but use WD40 and you should be fine). price is unbeatable - similar ones go for at least $75 (and come in boring black, gray or brown). we'll see how long the paint lasts since we are about to start our rainy season, but a little spray paint will easily make it all better. fantastic buy!

Mailbox looked and was constructed as I expected. It has a nice, fashionable appearance. I use it on a protected porch so can't answer for how it holds up under foul weather. The only funny thing is that it kind of bounces against the wall when the lid is opened and closed. I may have left the screws too short and I think if I took the time to unscrew them a little, this wouldn't be an issue.

I bought these mailboxes because they aren't the same as others in the neighbourhood. Most people have the wide rectangular boxes. There are two units in the house so we have one by each door. I have already gotten compliments from the neighbours on how cute they are. The size works great. We installed without the bracket for the newspaper as we don't need it and box looks better without.

This mailbox is pleasing to look at and a good size. However, installing it was a wee challenge. Since the only screw holes are at the top, it would up jutting out at the bottom. I added some spacers and this fixed that problem. Either way, the mailbox makes a LOT of noise when it's opened because the bottom 4/5ths aren't attached in any way.

A simple mailbox with 2 hanging brackets. The brackets were mismatched.The mounting hardware holes were incorrectly drilled.The washers were split and useless. I fixed it myself. Poor workmanship and lack of quality control makes this the last product I buy from this manufacturer.
