SICKS6SIX S not a fan of anyone in this film, but I didn't expect it to be as bad as it is, It is terrible, one of the worst films from the 1980s, a decade that saw some terrible films and this came out on top, or should I say bottom, it is like a badly made film for TV with stars past their best and showing it and not trying very hard, who can blame them with such a lame story, lack of subplots and woeful script, I wonder how much people got paid to make this awful film, Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Robert C Found " Enigma " a bit hard to follow and admit to going into The Wikipedia History to join the dots. Perhaps the Script-Writer put in one or two twists too many for the average viewer. But the film was certainly well-acted and always kept up the tension and the excitement. How did Sheen know where the Enigma Machine was in East Germany and why wasn't it well-guarded and constantly moved ? Neill went well and has always been under-rated as an Actor but Fossey gave the impression that she had seen and heard so much bullshit that she was numbed by it all, but maybe that is exactly what the Director wanted. The reality was that East Germany itself was always a millstone for The Russians, then Soviet Leader, Josef Stalin, sending then NKVD Leader, Lavrenti Beria, to East Germany in 1952 to hopefully persuade the then East German Authorities to unify with West Germany. True ! But for the film itself all of the crew delivered in terms of how they seen things at the time. Financially, at the time, the film was Bank-Rolled for $8 Million and got back, at the time, $2 Million. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review deke p XLNT cold war spy movie. Even MARTIN SHEEN.
