About
Displaying over 250 retired signs of casinos and businesses from all over town, the Neon Museum offers a peek into old Vegas. On a tour through the museum's two-acre courtyard, you’ll see gigantic, glitzy signs and learn more about their history. You can also watch the Brilliant! Jackpot show, a fantastic augmented reality experience that reanimates 40 of the neon signs in the museum. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop for souvenirs, as well as the visitor's center which is located inside the former La Concha Hotel lobby. Though open from mid-afternoon, the Neon Museum looks even more spectacular after sunset when the signs are lit up. – Tripadvisor

Really informative fun tour, the tour guide Linda made it. She was really knowledgeable and the pace of the tour was excellent. She didn't rush us away at the end but answered all our questions. Would highly recommend

Great history of Las Vegas as told by the signs
My daughter suggested seeing this during a pre Utah tour time in Vegas. We waited until we arrived to try to book it and ended up having to book the next evening since the tours that night were full. We booked a 6 ppm tour which was great, no need to go there during the dark as most signs are not lit up. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history and really brought the exhibit to life. Recommend this if you are tired of the casinos and the Strip.

Our tour guide, Charlie, was great. We did both the tour and the Brilliant Show. The tour was informative and interesting with facts and history about Vegas and Nevada as well. The show was incredible. It brought the old Vegas alive for us. Highly recommend.

    An Absolute Vegas MUST
I absolutely love it here. My top choice of places I'd recommend when you visit Vegas. Definitely book the night time light show, it made me quite emotional it was so beautiful. Bob who was our tour guide for the daytime part was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My only criticism is the gift shop is quite sparse. Where are the "Lady Luck" items?
Thank you for visiting and the raving review. Bob is an incredible docent and we are delighted to hear you had a wonderful experience on his tour. Thanks again for visiting and taking the time to provide a detailed review. We will pass along your feedback to our museum store team. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

    Neon lights at Sunset
I would highly recommend anyone to make a visit here at least once, especially if you understand the history of Vegas. We went at what I believe is the best time to visit, at sunset. The neon signs shine best once it starts getting dark and it is no longer hot outside anymore which makes it tolerable to explore. We would suggest doing the guided tour as there can sometimes be more interesting stories that you learn about the sign's history that you may not normally know or even read on the sign's descriptive plaque.
Thanks Amber, we really appreciate you taking time to provide such a glowing review (pun intended!). We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience on your guided tour. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to our docents, they truly love telling the story of Las Vegas through iconic neon. Thank you again for visiting us and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

A good place to see historic signs of Las Vegas
This was a great collection of the old signage of the casinos. Many of them are still working to see what they were like. The optional tour was a great musical presentation and showed what many of the non working signs looked like.

    Midcentury design history
What a fantastic museum of design history! They have preserved something others treated as ephemeral and used it to tell stories about the city and its history. I was particularly impressed by how inclusive those stories were, finding characters that otherwise could have been overlooked for more famous names, although their contributions were just as important. And the gift shop was a dream for a midcentury fan!

Take the dusk tour for both views of the signs
What and absolute gem of an attraction! My family just took a dusk (7:30pm) tour of the boneyard with Elicia, and she was absolutely fabulous. She was so knowledgeable about Vegas history and the signs, and made sure to take long pauses so people could sit on the benches if they were in need of a break. The whole family loved it, even our surly teenager. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and have an hour to kill.

Great tour but rude registration desk workers
It was a great tour! My guide was Stephanie and she interesting to listen to and shared many facts about Vegas. I gave 4/5 stars because the ladies behind the registration desk are somewhat rude and seem to dislike dealing with the people.

Having read most of the recent reviews it seems the main gripe is the entrance fee. Coming from the UK we found everything in Vegas expensive and at $30 per head this is at the lower end. Probably our mistake was to go during the middle of the day as the whole point of neon lights is just that. Lights ! All that said it was a fascinating half hour wander through the city’s history and the several badged attendants were so interesting and helpful giving us an insight to the signs and the background to old Vegas. I wonder if they were actually volunteers as paid staff are rarely as enthusiastic and knowledgeable as some of these folks.
We had no problem getting in although security does seem rather over the top for a small off Strip attraction. The special Tim Burton exhibit was interesting but I was disappointed not to be allowed my small point and shoot camera as my ‘phone is too old to be useful for anything other than making calls.

$30 to get in and you don't even get to see everything, you have to pay another $24 to see the other part of the museum. A group of people in front of us had obviously just gotten married and had a tiny silk bouquet with them and a backpack. They were told they weren't allowed the backpack or flowers as they're considered to be props. You're also not allowed to take in proper cameras, only allowed to take photos on phones. The entire thing can be looked at in 5 minutes maximum and if it wasn't for the Tim Burton addition, which still doesn't justify the price, it would be a 2 minute thing. There are far too many staff. There were literally staff stood around doing nothing and then just stood at the doors to walk you from one door to another and one each to open or close a door respectively. Wish I could get my money and time back. I'm not even going to add any photos to this review because everything on the reviews already is everything there is and it's hard to get a good photo of a sign especially if it's big because of the narrow paths and cramped area where everything is. Save your money and do literally anything else.

My husband and I visited the museum with much excitement - unfortunately we left very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few cool signs but $30 USD per person is extremely overpriced! The yard is small, taking us 15 mins to walk around, alot of the signs were not working and were either on their side or upside down. We were told only 19 of the signs in the whole museum were functional but it didn’t even seem that many. To access the other area you then have to buy a separate $24 USD ticket.
Don’t get me wrong, a good experience in itself - just ridiculously overpriced!

When your in Vegas, take a break from gambling and hit this place!! You will get a bit of a history lesson along with a visual experience that is second to none! You can book varying degrees of tours. It can be a bit pricey depending on what you choose, but it was well worth the price of admission. I recommend visiting at night to get the best viewing experience. You have to book ahead of time as the tours are timed and they only let so many people in at a time. It is all booked on line too. The tour that takes you through the restored and working portions is about 45 minutes long but what you get to see and what learn about Vegas is incredible! The light show in the bone yard is one of the most visually stimulating things I’ve seen, the old unrestored signs come to life and live again through modern technology, it’s absolutely a joy to see!! Take time from the casinos and GO!!!

10 of us went to visit the Neon Museum because a couple of us had seen good reviews on line about it. It was 30 dollars admission and took us about 20 minutes to go through it. We all agreed it was not worth it and looked like a junk yard. Admission should have been 5 dollars if that. I rarely write bad reviews but felt I had to warn people about this rip off.

The Neon Museum is great... I went at dusk/sunset, as this was recommended by several people. Definitely a good decision as you get to appreciate the lights in different... lights. Ha.

First up, the guide (whose name I don't know, but a woman with a shaved head) was amazing. She knows how to tell a story, how to add jokes, how to keep the crowd engaged with the history she's telling. Few times have I seen a group so engaged with the guide and actively listening. She's great.

The mix of working and non-working lights is beautiful if you know how to appreciate it. To me it seems like 50% or more were working, so I wouldn't listen to some of the reviews complaining about that. Even when they're not working, you can still appreciate the art of them, in my opinion. The working lights are beautiful.

Some people have complained about the cost, and I have some trouble understanding that. The Neon Museum is a non-profit and uses the funds to restore these lights and these pieces of history. To me, the $30 is more than going to good use, especially when you see the size of these signs and the sheer antiquity of the design... it's like people think the restoration is as simple as sticking some light bulbs in them. To me the cost is totally worth contributing to restoring such wonderful remnants of past times and the beginnings of such a curious and unique place. The stories around these lights and the ability to hopefully some day see some of the older signs lit up is more than worth it.

I fully recommend the visit if you enjoy being taken back in time and marveling at how fun and creative we humans can be.

This year was my first time visiting the Neon Museum due to my love of all things Tim Burton and him having an exhibit here. Truth is I don't know why I hadn't been before as this place is awesome! We got 4pm tickets for the boneyard and 5.30 tickets for Brilliant. By the time we came out of the Brilliant show (Which as in the title is BRILLIANT) the sun had set and the Neons all took on a new dimetion which was wonderful. The little hidden gems of Tim Burton dotted around the Neons was fab for me, love this place and now recommend anyone going to Vegas to go have a look.

We paid for both the museum (Tim Burton exhibit) and the show. We bought our tickets in advance and went right at dusk (it was dark by the end of our hour). We enjoyed seeing both the old neon signs as well as the Tim Burton pieces. We saw everything in about 45 minutes. We then went over to the light show. We really enjoyed it (my husband, 6 year old, and I). The combination of music and lights was very fun. Overall, it is pricey to visit both the museum and the show (~$55 per person) but we thought it was definitely worth the price to visit once. A different thing to do in Vegas and we enjoyed it!

Not worth the $30 per person. Nice place to visit, but too expensive. We visited today, 2/6 and it took us between 10-15 minutes (including the gift shop). I know it’s a non profit and they need the ticket profits to keep the place running, but I believe they would have more visitors if it was a bit less. This is not affordable for a family.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw there was a Tim Burton exhibit at the museum, but happy to go to one of the TB exhibits! First off, I have wanted to go to the neon museum for ages but every time I had looked at entry prices, it seemed more expensive than it was this time around, I swear it was $50 to go last year, but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, it was a real treat to see the place although a lot smaller than I thought it was. I thought it’d be a lot bigger. At least the boneyard. I can only imagine that they have way more retired signs than what they had even though there was a bit. It’s nice to see the old Vegas signs.
