Due to a lot of unemployment and the bad economy. As well as men that was young, such as WW1 veterans, had trouble finding jobs. For these reasons the gov. Appeared weak to create solutions to the problems.
How did Hitler gain popularity and power?
Through the Nazi party's sucess in 1932 during the parliment's elections. He was made chancellor by the press. Paul von Hindenburg and when he died hitler took over.
Summarize Hitler's leadership - how did he and the Nazi Party control Germany?
He ruled with supporting ultranationalism, scientific racism, and anti- semitism. He used manipulation and fear/panic to convince them of being in a state of emergency. All political parties aside from the Nazis and resistance were outlawed through domestic security.
Who were considered "outsiders" - what was the rationale for this?
The jews (especially) and slavs, communists, Roma (Gypsies), and gay people. They used propaganda of having pure germans to be successful again and to do this Hitler wanted to abolish these groups, mainly the Jews.

Enforced starting in 1935, it made marriages between Jews and gentiles (non- Jewish people) illegal, left Jewish folks with no citizenship, and created laws that caused Jewish folks to be forced into the margins of german society.They Jewish people, especially those who were basically german and successful were shocked.

What was Germany's agreement about the Rhineland under the Treaty of Versailles? How did Hitler break it?
The agreement made e buffer zone between Germany and France that prohibited Germany from stationing troops in this area. Hitler broke it by placing troops there on March 7, 1936.

France as well as Britain protested it despite not physically doing anything. Some british folk thought he was needed for order to be kept while others didn't want to go back to war.

How did Czechoslovakia become part of it?
He wanted Sudetenland and met up with Britain, France and Italy in Munich to resolve the conflict peacefully. Neville Chamberlain Britain's prime minister said it was the most peaceful to accept, this was called the Munich Agreement. However the deal ended with Hitlr seizing all of Cezch in 1939 bec he realized Britain wouldn't let him do it legally.
How was Poland different?
It started WW2 since Britain and France protected Poland. In the German- Soviet Nonaggression Pact in 1939 Germany promised Stalin polish territory therefore Germany invaded Poland causing war to be declared.
