I must admit I'm an Emma Wildes fan and this latest offering did not disappoint. I like it when everyone is so likable. I particularly liked the secondary love story. A really easy and enjoyable read.

You can tell that the above was one of my first reviews on Amazon:) I love this author and frequently check to see if she's written something new but sadly not yet. I enjoyed this book again and I'm glad I took the time. The h is a gorgeous young debutante and she's curiously abducted one night during the season. More curious is that London's biggest rake, the H, is also missing. Lord Ben an earl, is called in by the h's father to investigate. I guess Ben is also an H but seeing as he is a recurring character, we'll call him by his name. Ben's wife, Alicia, is a delightful secondary character, who issues Ben with an ultimatum after just 6 months of marriage. He either takes the time to get to know her properly or he's banned from her bed. Both stories run concurrently and both are lovely. The abducted H and h get to know each other pretty well during their incarceration. I can't say enough about how I love Ms Wilde's writing. Her characters are a joy. I wish she'd write something new.

I started reading Ms. Wildes's books back when they were all steamy romance. Lately they've been getting more and more tame which I've found saddening, but that's not even the main problem with this story.

The one issue I had with this story is that it doesn't seem to know which set of characters to focus on, so both stories end up incomplete.

The explanation for Elena and Ran's abduction is vague at best, and in all honesty, truly unrealistic. The story of Alicia and Ben was more interesting, but it seemed as soon as things got interesting between them, Elena and Ran's storyline would continue. Too bad the reasons both couples did what they did in most cases was so bland. Even the arguments between Alicia and Ben seemed fairly bland. Elena and Ran didn't make much of an effort to free themselves although they had plenty of time to think of options. The moment with potential excitement was when Alicia went to meet the blackmailer, but the actual encounter was skipped over.

I can also honestly say that as a long time fan I'm very fond of her hot steamy romances and this one didn't even have that to save it from mediocrity.

Rather boring and unbelievable

I had high expectations for this book (having read everything this author has written) but was very disappointed. This book was boring- I had toruble even finishing it and even ended up skimming certain parts. The premise here had so much promise- two people essentially kidnapped, woke up barely clothed in a room where they spent several days and nights alone together. But I did not feel any true connection between the two. Yes, in close quarters with an attractive person you are going to have some lustful feelings, but their part of the story was told too quickly for a reader to get a sense of how they fell in love.
The side story of Ben and Alicia was a bit more interesting and the only reason I was able to complete the book. But I still found flaws with their story as well. If a husband has been bedding his wife for months and never bothered ensuring she had any pleasure- why would he 'wake up' all of a sudden and start caring about her orgasm? And why would a man who knows women can enjoy sex not ever try to bring his wife pleasure before? All in all, it made Ben look like a self-centered idiot.

I liked this book! The plot twist was great. I've seen the drugged and left together device before but someone always came in to verify that the couple was together. This was a new and different concept. After the first few chapters I was trying to figure out, who did it and why. Great story and background story. Or course the mystery of who is behind it all is going to keep me reading, I'm so curious.

The characters were well defined and the women were smart - that is so good, vapid heroines are a drag. The storyline did drag in a few places but it was overall a great and engaging read.

I can't say a lot about the plot because it would spoil it for everyone, just know that it's very well structured. Enjoy!

This book was in my maybe/maybe not list of books to purchase for some time. Although I'm a fan of Emma Wildes' work, I'm not a fan of two romance stories in one, and that's the reason why I found this book surprisingly good. There are two couples in this novel. The problem with this setup I've found in other books is that I usually become engaged in only one couple and therefore I skip essentially half the book. However, I was equally engaged with both couples in this book, and I thought the author did a good job of connecting both stories. That being said, this book was a real page turner and I finished it in a day. It does leave you on a bit of a cliffhanger and I for one can't wait to read the next book.

Ruined by Moonlight is fabulous! Absolutely fabulous. The climactic ending is one of the most romantic, if not the most romantic scene I have ever enjoyed reading. I've already re-read the book and re-read the final confrontation between the fiance, the Rake and the Ruined Diamond of the First Water--and I must tell you, if this book were a movie, I'd be replaying that scene over and over. The tale is splendid and unique. The writing is lovely, the four protagonists are extremely interesting and the mystery quite real rather than a mere familiar plot device. Well done Ms. Wildes! I already have the second installment on pre-order!

This story provides why I'm a big fan of Emma Wildes. I love her characters and the way she weaved them within their stories. Although I enjoyed the Elena and Ran's story, I loved, loved, loved Alicia and Ben and couldn't help but root for them.

Emma does a great job of making you fall in love with characters who's stories have already started as she takes you on the journey through their lives.
