On warm days, she does enjoy a glass of wine on the dock now and then, and always loves to sit at her desk, winter or summer, and tap at her keyboard.

I though this might be intriguing with a psychic heroine and an archeological dig. I thought it very enjoyable how the heroine would actually experience Theseus and Ariadne and the Labyrinth itself. She was a bit on the spoiled side, but she was capable and she wasn't an idiot. Unfortunately the hero didn't get the memo. He treated her like she was a possession, he was bossy and controlling and he gave her commands like she was a child. He irritated me like there was no tomorrow. In fact, I did question the heroine's intelligence when she agreed to marry him. Especially given that he'd already made comments about how if she was his wife he'd forbid her from being on the dig and how he'd forbid her to disobey him. He was, frankly, an asshole. I wished the Minotaur would have eaten him.

meh! the male character annoyed me to no end. I kept rolling my eyes...
