Karen Han Slashfilm Unfortunately, the more "real" the movie tries to make everything appear, the harder it becomes to ignore that the necessity to their falling in love isn't particularly romantic Rated: 4/10 Dec 8, 2017 Full Review Kristen Lopez Culturess Its misguided attempts to secure Best Original Song nominations bloat like a puffer fish, turning a swift 90-minute movie into a cumbersome two-hour snoozefest. Nov 20, 2017 Full Review K. Austin Collins The Ringer The live-action remake of the 1991 Disney classic hits all the right nostalgic notes - if only it dared to take a few more risks. Aug 10, 2017 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson Imitation, emulation, and homage are all part of that process, but so is reappraisal and reinterpretation. Those later two actions are what drive this new fantasy film to soaring and successful heights. Rated: 4/5 Feb 16, 2024 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) This film is a careless exercise in capital gain; it mines a true cinema classic for commercial value and leaves nothing artistic in its wake. Luke Storyline fantastic. Got the emotions going. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Fernando It was horrible!!!! Nothing compared to the cartoon Disney version! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/01/22 Full Review First name L Not groundbreaking, but this trip down memory lane sports a stellar cast and style. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Rik O It's background TV really. Not as good as the cartoon, not as magical and not as romantic. It's pretty bang average and forgettable. It's not "bad" but it's not bringing anything to the party that you can't get from just watching the cartoon instead. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Carter C This movie should be rated higher. The visual effects and performances were really good and I loved the old and new songs. Watson and Stevens are both perfect people to play their roles. The story seemed too similar to the original though. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Inessa L The film Beauty and the Beast is a fascinating remake of the 2017 musical romantic fantasy genre directed by Bill Condon, which was filmed in the United States. The plot of the film is very interesting and exciting. One day a sorceress turned Prince Adam into a disgusting monster because he was evil, narcissistic and rude. To remove the spell from himself and the servants of his castle, he needs to learn to be kind, love and be loved. This must happen before the last petal falls from the rose donated by the Sorceress. In a distant village there lives a beautiful girl named Belle. Suddenly her father Maurice goes to the fair, but on the way he loses his way. Finding himself in an enchanted castle, he becomes a prisoner of the Beast. Belle rushes to her father's aid. I have to admit that the cast is incredible. The main characters played their roles perfectly. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens did a great job of portraying the emotions of their characters. The storyline with secondary characters gave a special charm to the film. The special effects and graphics are so believable and modern that they are not even noticeable. I advise you to watch the film, because you will get a lot of emotions and pleasure. An excellent solution for couch potato. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
