"We never really had a chance. But at least now we have this one perfect thing. I feel like I’m dreaming and I don’t want to wake up." ― Emily to Gabriel in Cancel Couture

The chef comes to her table, however, when she realizes the chef is Gabriel, she stops complaining and takes his suggestion to try the steak as he has cooked it.

In Sexy or Sexist, Gabriel helps Emily translate when she tries to explain to Gardienne and the plumber when her shower isn't working. He later offers to let her shower in his apartment, and teachers her the word "douche", which is French for "shower".

In A Kiss is Just a Kiss, Gabriel was willing to cook for Emily, her colleagues, and her clients last minute, even though his restaurant was about to close. After the dinner, Emily kissed Gabriel, only to find out a few moments later than he had a girlfriend, and that it was Camille.

In Family Affair, Gabriel and Emily join Camille on her trip to Camille's family château, Le Domaine de Lalisse. As Camille drove a small convertible, Emily had to sit on Gabriel's lap on the way there and back. Gabriel was astonished when he discovered that Emily slept with Camille's seventeen-year-old brother, Timothée. He teased Emily about it later when she explained that she didn't know he was underage.

Season 2[]
