1959-2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard (Rick) Paul Ellis of Fredericton N.B. on April 8, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on October 2, 1959, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Edna McKinnon and Lloyd Ellis.
He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 41 years, Raymode; children, Zach (Holly), Theoren (Lauren), and Tonya (Kennedy); grandchildren, Eben and Quinten; brothers, Ervin and Donald; and sister, Rosealie (John); as well as numerous beloved relatives and friends.
Rick was predeceased by his parents; sister, Alma; and brother, Carl.
Rick was a true entrepreneur alongside of his wife, starting with Rick Ellis Electric in 1986 and ZT&T Data Cabling in 1993, then purchasing Raymonde's General Store in 1998, and ending his career owning and operating Pure Green Lawn Care.
Rick will be remembered for his love and dedication to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was so proud of the family he built alongside the love of his life. He was well known in the Ellis house for his homemade pizza on Sunday's, decorating for Christmas and Halloween, and sneaking a treat or two to his grandchildren and four legged friends.
One of Rick's greatest passions in life was hockey. It began with coaching his three children for 22 years and blossomed into a beautiful tradition of being his grandchildren's number one fan.
Rick believed in giving back, and his generous spirit touched the lives of many. He spent several years volunteering with the Fredericton Youth Hockey Association and the Epsilon Y's Service Club.
A visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 11a.m. to 2p.m. and a celebration of life officiated by Reverend Michelle Armstrong will be held at Saint Paul's United Church on April 15, 2024, at 11a.m. A reception following the service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lincoln NB. In honor of Rick, donations can be made toward the Rick Ellis Memorial Fund (rickellismemorialfund@gmail.com), which will be used to support children's love for hockey.
The family wishes to thank the medical staff in the ICU and the Wound Clinic at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for their excellent care.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
