Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson, 58, has discussed her daily rituals with the health magazine Body and Soul.

In the interview, Macpherson – who has graced the covers of countless magazines since becoming a model in the 1980s – says her routine is based on approaching “beauty and wellness primarily on an energy basis.”

“I like to start my day in the way I intend for it to flow,” she said. “I’m usually up with the sun and the first thing I do is hydrate with filtered water and lime.”

“I’ll then get outside and put my feet on the earth to ground. I do some yoga in the morning sun,” she continued. “Sometimes I’ll go for a cold plunge afterwards followed by a matcha in the sunshine before getting ready for my day.”

The supermodel added that later in the morning, she makes herself The Super Elixir™, a supplement from her wellness brand WelleCo, which costs $68.99. “It helps my sense of vitality, strengthens the immune system, supports the digestive system and gives my skin a healthy glow,” she claimed. It has become increasingly common for celebrities to share their “beauty secrets,” which, coincidence or no, are based on products they sell.

“I rely heavily on my daily wellness protocol to feel vital and be at my best,” she told the Australian magazine, adding that she follows a plant-based diet made up of organic food from local farms. One of her favorite recipes is mushroom miso soup with Japanese sweet potato, which she learned from holistic medicine doctor Sara Siso.

The model also said she was a “big believer in energy healing.” “I’ll take regular appointments for acupuncture, chiropractic, breath work and sound healing among others.”

Macpherson also mediates for 25 minutes every morning, although she said the idea is to live in a “perpetual flow of meditative connection.”

When it comes to exercise, the model is less strict, but prioritizes being outdoors. “I love being outside and connecting to nature. I choose activities where I am outside, close to nature as much as possible — hiking, biking, swimming or simply sitting in the fresh air and sunshine. I don’t have a set schedule - I go with the flow, but I go.”

She also shared her night ritual with Body and Soul. “I love the evening wind-down as much as I love the mornings,” she said. “At the end of the day, I like to relax in my infrared sauna followed by a cold plunge. It’s great for detoxing, immune boosting, lymphatic support and relaxation. I follow that with my nightly ritual of a cup of Sleep Welle Calming Tea [another WelleCo product], which helps the mind, spirit and body rest, recover and rejuvenate.”

As for her icons in the wellness world, Macpherson says she looks up to Dr Zach Bush, the founder of the Farmer’s Footprint, which help farmers fight the use of chemicals in food production.
